Strength Excercise for Hip Stength??

Playing footy this year and I need some exercises that I can do to strengthen my hips.

For the hips I only know the balance bard but I desperately need some other ones.

I'm aiming to get the hip strength like ablett how he can just shrug his tackles of with his hips

If anyone can help me out would be greatly appreciated!!
 
If you're new to the lifting game then the 2 best exercises you can do for hip strength are squats (below parallel) and deadlifts. This will also build core strength along with hanging leg raise.

Might be a little too feminine for your liking, but hula hooping works wonders for the hips, waist and knees.

Squats, or even some circular hip rotations every now and then are great.

Believe it or not, jumping jacks helped me too.
 
Core strength is what you are after. Type it into YouTube. These days there are a lot of fitness professionals running there own YouTube channels.
