It is imperative that all true carlton supporters stand united, because without us the club we all love is going to die a slow death
Well said ...The Carlton Football club has a long proud and very successful history ..this has made us as fans soft ...we are used to having it far too easy ..now we are starting to get a taste of what Saints fans have endured for a long long time ...remember when you support a team you take the good AND the bad ...now is the time we should be supporting our club .the hardest ...because now is when we are needed most.
A loss like this last one hurts every supporter ..but we can't let ourselves become bitter.
It was only a practice game

I only got to the second quater onwards of the senior game. Did not get to the reserves either. Had a pretty decent fill in about the reserves from somebody later on.

A few brief thoughts.

Jordan Russell is coming along well. He is a defender on meduim/small size players. He lacks real strength yet and is not great in the air. He is however very disciplined to stick to his opponenet and has very good pace, fitness and skill with the ball in hand. He is starting to run a little more and show some more flair and dash. He is not ready for midfield but is ready for a 1 or 2 year apprenticeship for it by playing in the seniors off the half back flank and developing that way.

Andrew Walker was good on the dangerous Motlop. Showed some great speed and endurance and really did look to take players on. Got caught out a couple of time trying to cover for others and one would only wonder how he would go ina good team. Some of his disposals are still lacking but he is defintely improving and understanding the game better. He is bigger and stronger this year and is looking to get more invloved and stamp his authority on the game.

Adam Hartlett has a long way to go still but he shows that he can make it as a key position player. Does not panic like a few other talls we have and seems to have a bit of time on the ball and knows what he is about.

Marc Murphy
just shows the same qualities at AFL level as he did in the TAC. Gets to the right places and anticipates well. Has a very good first step and change of direction and time on the ball to gather and make a good decision. Kicking will improve over time but he is ready for a forward pocket/wing role this year in the seniors.

Those 4 players I have been very happy with in the pre season. Walker will play of course and Murph will almost certainally but I do hope Adam and JR are picked for round 1. I would not at this stage be playing Blackwell, Edwrads, Bower and definitely not Kennedy.
