Well I'm now officially in my first season away from Port games. Over in the UK for work.

Using it as an excuse to see plenty of football over here though. My team Barnsley is through to an FA Cup semi final at the new Wembley - will be up there with 2004.

Who else is part of the Exiled Supporter group?

Yeah to be honest its been the only time I've actually missed being home.

What time are games on in the States? I can remember being in Minneapolis last year for the first Showdown last year and I think that started at midnight.

*raises hand*

have been an exile since 1999 ! Been on BF since 2000. Get to about 1 game every 2 years on average, which is always good so I can see what some of the players actually look like :)

Now in Ljubljana in Slovenia where there are no telecasts. Kept my membership going each year until this one.... probably won't renew this year... got a few other priorities.

Too bloody early in the morning (14.5 hours difference at the moment as we just moved to daylight savings).

Remembering back to the Grand Final I think the game started here at about 2.30am, I like my sleep too much to want to do this too often.

Only games that kind of work out okay are the night games and even then it might be just the last quarter I catch, if I can be bothered rising.

I got a phone call on Friday night (Good Firday) from a bloke I have played cricket against for the last three years, I have always bowled well against him and he works with my old man! He is going over to coach an English side, and want's me to acompany him! But I feel i am not old enough and to immature, But he plans to go back in 2009 if he enjoy's it! So I may be Exilled in 2009, but only if we (Port) win a flag in 2008!

Been in exile since 2003 (China). The satelitte TV here shows 4 games per week on delay so i get to watch a few power games per year, otherwise its torrent downloads. For the past couple of years they showed 5 games per week until this year when the ABC in its infinite wisdom prioritised Super 14 Rugby over the AFL.

Yeah Sentanta shows a game a day over the weekend here. Once I move out of the current digs that is a definite priority.

For the map - I'm in Guildford, Surrey.

I will be in part-exile for most of this year in the Middle East working -the first time I will have missed more that 10% of a season in over 40 years following the PAFC.

Those petrol dollars must be paying you well Natman. Bring on peak oil and China and India cranking up demand.

Mind you, can you find any booze in Saudi to spend those petrol dollars on or do you have to nip up to Europe for a weekend??

Blimey you guys really define being passionate Power supporters - congrats to you all. I'm only in Canberra and I feel isolated enough - yes I can get to games but the cost is rather significant. We love our memberships though and can't get the young'uns out of their Power gear...

What time does the game start in Adelaide time on Sunday? I've seen 12.40 somewhere but thought it might by Sydney time.

We start day light savings over here on the weekend so for a week I think I'm now 11.5 hours behind.

1.10pm Sydney time which according to this website

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

will be 2.10am Sunday morning UK time.
However according to this page it will be 3.10am as you guys kick into Daylight Saving at 1.00am UK time.

http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst2008a.html.

WA reverts back to normal time at 3.00am this Sunday morning their time. SA and the eastern states (except Qld) revert back to normal time the following Sunday morning 6th April at 3.00am local time.

So the showdown next week on Sunday the 6th is played at 4.10pm SA time will be a 7.40am start UK time.

Cheers Russ.

I get fed up with the online time clocks. For SA time I've just been taking off 1.5 hrs UK time and reversing the am/pm. Needless to say I'll be ignoring daylight savings until I wake up later on Sunday.

The showdown will be an interesting one. I'm staying Sat night in London in preparation for the FA Cup semi final (The Super Reds v Cardiff) and I'm not sure if I'll have the lap top with me. It's not the worst time either which is a shame.
