I'm expecting Richmond to play finals. If Richmond was an opposition club, I'd expect them to play finals. Yet I still feel I'm setting myself up for a fall.

We should at least beat Collingwood, Gary Pert seems to think half the list is stoned.

Am expecting further improvement from out 20-25 year old players, Jenkins will replace Tippo. Off season hasn't been ideal, but i beleive the players and coaches are focused on the task ahead.

I'd reasonably expect to finish 4 - 6 on ladder with only 2 missing from list come finals time to pick from.

If we can be there in that state I'd say anything is possible, especially with another 20 games into the likes of Motlop, Guthrie, Duncan, Bundy, Vardy,...

Actually yeah.. if our senior players are not supported more by our younger players coming though and if the younger players improvement is stagnant, then we will slip....

A very real possibility.... I just haven't' seen enough pre season training evidence to suggest that the under 50 guys have not improved...

I think Hawthorn has the pieces in place to be contenders once again for the flag, but they also have the draw from hell and it's a possibility they might be back in the pack after 7 rounds and pushing shit uphill just to make the top 4. They could finish 1st/2nd/3rd, but it wouldn't surprise me to see them back in 5th/6th/7th spot.

Thanks AFL! They like to run a "fair" competition which handicaps the top sides*

*Unless those top sides are Sydney or Adelaide, in which case, they receive a surprisingly easy draw given their ladder positions in 2012.
