We will be playing in the Grand Final.

The list reeks to me of 2010 Magpies. Although everyone obviously loves to be pessimistic, i honestly dont think we are that far off. Absolutely ravaged by injury and still managed to knock off 3 of the top 5 comfortably, lost to another 2 in the top 8 by 3 points or less.

If any other club had the age profile we have and were that competetive with the quality sides the media would be frothing. Not to mention it appears North and Richmond will drop off, along with potentially Hawks and Port, all teams we lost to in 2016.

If we manage to get the solid players we are eyeing at the moment and add them without loosing anything, we will explode in 2017.

There are just too many questions marks right now to predict a finals finish.

Can we improve our disposal out of defence?

How much will we miss Swan?
Can Adams stay on the park?
Will Witts leave?
What happens if Grundy gets injured?
Can the youngsters step up?
Can we improve our disposal into the forward 50?
Can we bring defensive pressure on a consistent basis?
Forwards:
What impact will Cloke leaving have?
Can Darcy shoulder the extra load?
Can Cox step up? Can we rely on White?
Can Elliott and Fasolo stay on the park?

To make the finals we need positive answers to at least 80% of these questions.

Needs more suplexes and elbows off the top rope...

Wasnt that pushed back to 2020? Or is it 2030 when Bucks will finally have his team, the culture he wants, the coaches he wants, no injuries, players buying in, pigs flying etc etc..............

I predict that dolphins and whales will start to beach themselves in locations remote from humans so that they can be left alone to evolve back into monkeys.

They are sick and tired of humans f$cking up their evolutionary processes. I mean it's bad enough it took them 169 million years of drowning themselves on mass before only the freaks with fins were left but now they've changed their minds and realized they made a mistake and want out but we keep rolling them back into the sea. At this rate it'll be 300 million years before the freaky dolphins with legs can get back onto the land. Leave the dolphins and whales alone people. They know what they're doing!

They wanted Craig Kelly a few years back. He'd be a great replacement if he could balance his management commitments

We'll make some progress and win 10-11 games - maybe 12 at a stretch but with a poor percentage because we simply don't score heavily enough to put an opposition team having a bad day to the sword - but we wont make the top 8.

If we can put up 10-12 wins and show a more consistent effort especially in our losses (ie. being legitimately beaten by a better performing opposition on the day, as opposed to shooting ourselves in the foot and gifting opponents the four points like we have been) then I'll be happy enough - I just want to see us having a genuine crack and if we're not good enough on a given day then so be it.

With a little luck 2018 is where I'd expect us to be playing finals.
