8th or better, i expect. I also think Moore is going to set the world on fire.I think that we need an outside runner bad..

I hate the mutt, but D. Martin is exactly what we need.

One of Martin or Rockliff is who we need. We need another big name.

My expectations are that:
  1. We will be playing finals in 2017 (In Bucks we trust) or
  2. if we don't make finals, there are changes made. (In Bucks we trust no more)
I was OK with Bucks moving in to coach with MM as his mentor, that did not happen and I think the Club has given Bucks every opportunity to get us on the right path, 2017 is do or do not.

I predict that dolphins and whales will start to beach themselves in locations remote from humans so that they can be left alone to evolve back into monkeys.

They are sick and tired of humans f$cking up their evolutionary processes. I mean it's bad enough it took them 169 million years of drowning themselves on mass before only the freaks with fins were left but now they've changed their minds and realized they made a mistake and want out but we keep rolling them back into the sea. At this rate it'll be 300 million years before the freaky dolphins with legs can get back onto the land. Leave the dolphins and whales alone people. They know what they're doing!

This is my favourite post ever.

By the end of the year, Darcy Moore to have conversations started about him in a similar vain as happens now with GA Senior and GA Junior

We will be playing in the Grand Final.

The list reeks to me of 2010 Magpies. Although everyone obviously loves to be pessimistic, i honestly dont think we are that far off. Absolutely ravaged by injury and still managed to knock off 3 of the top 5 comfortably, lost to another 2 in the top 8 by 3 points or less.

If any other club had the age profile we have and were that competetive with the quality sides the media would be frothing. Not to mention it appears North and Richmond will drop off, along with potentially Hawks and Port, all teams we lost to in 2016.

If we manage to get the solid players we are eyeing at the moment and add them without loosing anything, we will explode in 2017.

Let the crucifixion begin

I hope your right Nostradamus.

i love the optimists, hope they dont get too disappointed
I never get disappointed . Perhaps in the negativity of others but that's to be expected once you get to know them

6 - 10th on the ladder.

6th if everything goes right...no injuries, improvement from kids, key recruits perform.

10th if moore doesn't play 15+ games.

Realistic expectation would be 6th. I only see improvement next year. In great moments of optimism I can hope for a top 4 finish and in moments when I allow the pessimism to infect me I think we won't make the 8. Today gives me a lot of hope. I think we're ready.
I expect Grundy, Treloar, Aish, Moore, De Goey, Cox and Broomhead to have improved seasons, and everyone else to jump on board.

As everyone has already mentioned really depends on trade period and injury front. If Wells, Mayne and WHE end up at the club and we have a good run with injuries I don't see why we would not play finals.

There are two players that I believe if we are to make finals must be playing all year. Taylor Adams is irreplaceable and Moore is simply a super star in the making. Those two are non negotiables and must play if to have a chance. Grundy is probably the other that if he maintains the form he displayed this year could carry CFC to the finals.

Swanny to head up the media department, finish home and away in fifth then win a final.
A breakout season for many and 2018 look good like we will be a chance.
Also limited time from Elliot

As always people confusing hopes with expectations which makes for good reading. Given where we're at as a club entering our 5th season since our list rebuild started 5th or 6th which means a finals win.

That said we've failed to meet expectations as a club for 6 straight seasons so I really should dial it back...

the joyous state for optimists is that you simply get optimistic about something new :)

pessimism is correlated with poor health and poor work performance (except aircraft maintenance engineers)

I want that premiership feeling back again. I miss it soo much. Hope it isn't too much further away. I believe we are building a really good list. Don't know quite where to place us next year but id say somewhere in between 4th - 10th.
