If we finish last Yze gets the sack.
We should finish above WCE and Essendon at a minimum IMO.
The man just got a 2 year extension, so he's not getting the sack
We have one of the youngest and least experienced lists in the comp, you need to be prepared for the spoon being a possibility, especially if we give more responsibility to the kids over some of the older players and/or we get affected by injury given our lack of real depth on the list.

Simpler metrics here. Given any sort of reasonable run with injury, 75%+ seems a good minimum requirement so I agree there. I would love to see the incidences of failing to kick half the opposition team's score fall from an understandable but very poor 9 in 2025 to something under 4. I expect a big reduction.

Would also like to see at least a small group of 4 youngsters nail down roles within the team by showing good form and fitness. Candidates would be: Gibcus, McAuliffe, Gray, Fawcett, and any of the 2024 & 2025 draft and SSP additions.

Fox Footy has us finishing last, believing WC will have a better season. I disagree.
Very much a possibility, especially if injuries hit the midfield and back line.

Nothing wrong with reaching for the stars though is there?

Even if we do 85% of that it will be big steps forward that we should be proud of.
Cant see it happening TBH

We had the worst offence in the league last year and the 4th worst defence and people think we are finishing with 8 wins?

To get 8 wins, going by recent history our percentage is going to have to be around 80% to 90%, (last 2 years its been 66% & 63%) so unless we can move up 4 spots in offence and move up another spot in defence its a huge reach.

The age profile of our list is even younger than before and that generally means we wont improve that dramatically.

I’ll have to double check this, but I think the key stats if looked at for just the second half of the season we were trending upwards in areas.

Anything is possible with a young and hungry side

But like I said, even if it ends up 6-7 wins, percentage of 77% that’s still moving into the right areas.

Will be interesting to know for sure. If I recall correctly, during a broadcast during the year, they showed stats that backed up some improvement.

This would define a great season.

I expect we'll be measuring our progress more on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

We want to increase the number of quarters we win. We want to increase the number of quarters where we score 3+ goals. We want to decrease the number of quarters where we concede 3+ goals.

I think we also want to see breakout games for players. For example, get Faull to kick 3+ goals in a game, get Lalor a 30+ disposal game, get Smillie a game etc.

Ladder position and games won will be somewhere between 3 and 6 depending on luck.

OUT: Tylar Young (trade, West Coast), Jacob Bauer (delisted), Jacob Blight (delisted), Mate Colina (delisted), Thomson Dow (delisted), Jacob Koschitzke (delisted), Kamdyn McIntosh (delisted)

Richmond’s delistings didn’t include any players who would be considered a significant loss, with most being at best VFL standard.

Isn't that the very nature of delistings?

Where do we finish on the Ladder: 16th
How many wins are you expecting: 5
How many wins would be the pass mark: 4
Who will be our most improved player that has been there prior to this draft : Jonty Faull
Who will be our leading goal kicker: Probably Lynch, if the sticky tape does it thing.
Which of the new kids drafted in 2025 will be the best performed: Cumming hopefully. Have a good feeling about the Peucker.
How many games will Smillie play: 5
Will LOTW get a perm ban: No, but hopefully THE GUN does.
Will Groupie give up his KFC addiction and go on a diet: Who cares.

Doesn't matter, those kids (especially our young key forwards) who will be getting a game will need time to improve and get better, expecting these guys to instantly improve our side is a bit naive.
