I know we have had numerous key fwds come into the side over the past 25 yrs and not deliver...........

I for one am confident we will produce but expect he'll follow the same path Cotchin has slow and steady!!!!

Can we all please have realistic expectation for his debut - All I hope for is he gets through unscratched- Dont give a toss about stats today!!!

Remember POLO's debut!!!!

No expectations. He's a 200 cm key forward, in the wet, on his first game back from injury. Anything we get is a bonus.

after seeing Postys last game in the seniors that resembled a 2yr chasing a beachball on a windy day I'll be delighted just to see him clunk a Big mark...in fact delighted is an understatement, more likely i'll assume the foetal position on the floor whilst sucking my thumb celebrating that the war is really over:eek:

Said it in the other thread, I'll be happy with half a dozen touches 3-4 marks & 1-2 goals, more importantly it will be great seeing him get through the game

griffiths is a great prospect, i think richmond have begun a better development program, as shown by their recently picked up players performances, e.g. martin, cotchin, nahas and deledio (although no matter what deledio was going to be good), i only hope that his trouble with injuries doesnt continue with AFL physios and doctors monitoring his progress

I got extremely excited when Taylor took 'that' mark, all I need to see is a glimpse please,i'll have a mucho happy week until saints paint the floor with us.

In terms of expectations, albeit less in the present, if I understand correctly, Griff is 18, 198cm and 100kg. If I'm correct that is the exact same (give or take a little) as Simmo who is 32. If he's this big now, what can we realisicly expect him to weigh!?!? Or will he stay the same (unlikely). Seems he's a potential gorilla.

5 marks 10 kicks 3 handballs 4 tackles 3-4 goals should do !

This is the kids first senior game. He has just came back from injury and he was injured for most of last year before he was even drafted. My expectation is just for him to understand what is required at senior level and to learn from the experience,.

Pissing down up here. We'll be lucky to kick 5 goals as a team, let alone Griff. If he can kick 1 or 2 and show a bit i'll be very happy. If he picks up donuts I wont be too disappointed.

Will make it.

Has only had the 5 touches and the one grab, albeit an outstanding one, but he just seems to really move well. I thought in the conditions he was going to have no impact but he seems to move really well and looks fantastic below his knees

he had some nice touches that showed clean hands, a great grab in the wet, a few spilled out that I reckon he would have clunked in the dry , he had front position a bit...liked what I saw...:thumbsu:
