To understand science you need to understand who is responsible for that science. Science is the right wing on the bird that religion is the left wing.

i know very little about charles darwin other than he was right at the beginning of one of the most profound scientific theories of all time ie. evolution via natural selection. i didn't start this thread for a history lesson, although what you say is interesting and i may do my own research on darwin in the future.

back on point though if you have evidence or links that you could provide as proof of the folly of the theory of evolution via natural selection i am still interested to have a look and debate the issue. your posts so far on this issue seem to me to be very vague with broad sweeping statements that seem like you expect me to know the answer. it reminds me a bit of when i am in trouble with my wife (doesn't happen that often anymore i am too old and wise now) and i ask whats wrong and she says "you should know, i shouldn't have to tell you." clear concise unambiguous answers would be appreciated.

When we speak about Consciousness, or any other invisible & intangible phenomena, we can only ever infer back to it from a visible body or action.

But the fact remains, that without that conscious awareness on both our parts, we wouldn't be having this convo....Which is what makes consciousness an irreducible, metaphysical phenomena....Much as identity is a conceptual one.

btw why are you so desperate for an invisible hand anyway p35, serious question? the modern proteins in the DNA arent as different compared to the base proteins in an ancient bacteria. It only takes a few mutations to arrive at a modern protein. Mutations are still ongoing, it doesnt need an invisible hand really.

Awareness is a state of mind. My awareness might be different to yours, how do we interpret the same information? does it have to be similar to be objective? i work in the field of finance, if you give a balance sheet to 10 different people and ask them "what you think of it", they will tend to interpret the information differently. If there is an objective truth in that balance sheet, then there would be one right answer, but thats not true Actually theres no right or wrong answers,i work with balance sheets everyday and i am yet to see an objective answer.... its perception only. Its how we "see it". Buddhism does a good job in explaining it, murdering an innocent person without reason for example is wrong. Murdering of a tyrant or a dictator like Hitler or Kim Jong Un is not wrong cause its for the greater good of the people. You will not find many people who will agree with you that murdering Abu Bakr Baghdadi will be a crime. Cause its not.

When you are saying you have objective truth then EVERY LIVING creature on earth should have it. But if i accept murder is wrong for example, then why on earth every specie in the world is ok with murder but humans? are you trying to say its "objective" for humans only but not for the rest? if thats your point then its not the ojective truth, cause its subject to conditions for certain species.

Anyway this is an evolution thread, i dont understand, why on earth do we need an invisible hand for this one? we are seeing mutations happening right now and there are very good reasons for that, why do we need to invoke the middle man here when there is no need for that?
