As much as its a good idea i agree with u ling sting, Dawson got money for a new bed and extra money for being there lol and got a grand worth of clothes so i dont think they need to be sponsered i think all on this website for the cats of course should use the money to get a membership.
I think it's something nice the club does to let the player sponsors feel more like a part of the club and instill more of a sense of "ownership".

If I'm not wrong, the money goes towards their club attire and all that. It's like how you have to pay for your uniform when you get a job at say, Target or something, but instead of the players paying for all that, the sponsors do.

got a grand worth of clothes

I think thats what they leadership do in making them feel welcome and as i said he got GIVEN A GRAND WORTH OF CLOTHES. So i dont think they will have a problem at all with any of that. As i did say it is a good idea but i wont be putting in money I'll use it to buy a membership.

if you don't want to contribute then that is your choice. No one is forcing anyone to be apart of it. But I hope this doesn't mean that we will see post after post expressing this same opinion in all of our future sponsor threads. Cos we get it.

Wouldn't mind throwing some cabbage toward one or both of the boys.

If we could get some sort of guarantee who is willing to sponsor who, couldn't we divide the $1,500 by the number of people interested and work out the contribution that way...or at least get a better idea of things?

$50 doesn't personally put me out financially, but I'd imagine for many it will, and it'd be a shame if it meant that those with a spare $30-$40 and willing to sponsor a player didn't get the opportunity.
