Jenny would have banned half the board for being too negative.
I really think Jenny provides good value to the forum
She is generally positive but can also be critical and forthright on subjects.
She has a tough set of bones because there would not be many woman that could stand the bombardment of criticism that is arrowed at her
Many times it’s unwarranted
Whatever she sais out come the knives

When I first joined I had no confidence for sometime posting on here

The one thing Jenny never, ever does is actually discuss footy.

I seem to recall being very supportive of you.
Supportive is hardly a word which most would use to describe you....

Would be good if this thread wasn't used to attack posters as being unsuitable.

I'm sure the current moderators are smart enough to evaluate the possible candidates.

I nominate myself for the job

Election promises: I promise that every single Pear fan to even read a post on this board will receive a lifetime ban from the forum.

I vote for the Bird.

I mean, isnt the thread used as a popularity contest to see who the board would accept? If so, people do need to be able to voice an opposition to a candidate. That's an ordinary part of the politic.

No, being a moderator is not a popularity contest!

There is no need to attack other posters.

I agree, you held it.

But what other purpose could allowing people to nominate others serve?

If we're allowed to discuss candidates, then discussion must be allowed to be frank. If not, people should not be entitled to pitch their allies. An unscrutinised candidate could ruin the board.

To give the current moderators a short list of interested & suitable posters to consider.
