"External people, including our supporters and members"

Keith Thomas stated that they were going to start listening to supporters.

But it sounded empty at the time and it sounds emptier as every day under the current regime goes by.

Under the current setup, a supporters trust with some actual sway on heritage matters is the best we can hope for, but they have no incentive(or inclination) to give us that. That would still be good if we could elect our board but far less important.

It needs an escrow account. If you want to exercise your financial voice without hurting the club then instead of cancelling your membership the funds go into this account. When the constitution is amended to give voting rights back to the actual members then the funds in the account are transferred to the club. Right now the only people who can change the constitution to give members a vote are the current members who are the Directors who are appointed by the AFL on the recommendation of the board (themselves). So far, I still have not heard the club even acknowledge this is an issue.

Even the Rozee-Butters-Duursma draft wasn’t that mindblowing by league standards.

Brisbane picked up McCluggage (3), Berry (17), Witherden (23) in 2016, for instance.

You don’t hear much about that trio as a capture in isolation.

We were supposed to have our own strong capture in that draft - Marshall, SPP, Drew (plus Atley) - wonder how we'll rate our 2016 draft intake in 12 months and 3 years.
