8 blokes with under 50 games tonight.

Senior players like Armo and Weller were absolute liabilities.

Of which 5 were under ten games.
Armo and Weller just got to go. Enough is enough.

That is rubbish .

Mentioned it before convinced over preseason at Seaford seen Dixon working with both Membrey & Billings
has changed their ball drop to holding one hand on top of the ball the other underneath .
Tim has lost about 15 metres of power with it and slices the ball to the right 90 % of his kicks.

Not what was said in the media and he hasn’t according to a person I know who works at the club. I suppose it’s better to think otherwise even if it’s not true. Certainly worked with billings.

May only be an extra 150mm odd drop but that can make the difference.

It was Bruce and Billings he spent a lot of time with during preseason
Membrey is being affected by the knee injury he had, which is causing him to favour one side more.
This has affecting his kicking slightly and now he is in his head about goal kicking.

Was doing stuff preseason before knee , I was there at Seaford

I think Membrey missed a game earlier on with his knee........as you say Brut......it absolutely must be affecting his kicking action which in turn is affecting him mentally with the incredible on going misses piling up.

The fall off has been breathtaking.......the last 2 games he's kicked 1 goal 8.......mindboggling !

It is a mental thing for him now.
The pressure of being our best kick has gotten to him in a big way.
We need someone else to start kicking straight so that pressure gets off him and he can start kicking it like he usually does.

If there is a complete overhaul of the assistant coaches come season's end, interested to hear people's thoughts on what their coaching set up would be if given free reigns. I wouldn't mind seeing the following coaching set up:

Senior Assistant: Blake Caracella
Midfield/Stoppages: Lenny Hayes
Transition Specialist: Luke Hodge
Backline: Henry Playfair
Development: Xavier Clarke
Forward: Ben McGlynn
Ruck: Peter Everitt (Part-time). Had a very good footy brain when it came to rucking/tap work.
Goal Kicking Coach: Tony Lockett (Part-time). Feel like Plugger would apply a KISS approach to goal kicking.

My feel is that the board will given Richo one more year due to the stupid decision to prematurely extend his contract until the end of 2020, but at least role out an overhaul of assistants. Clarko is out of contract at the end of 2019 so would like to think club would be sounding him out strongly to take over at the mighty saints.

I would like to congratulate the whole football club, specifically Alan Richardson, Simon Lethlean & Matt Finnes. They have turned our club into a mediocre & spineless rabble that never bites the hand (AFL) that feeds it & bends over at any request. A yes club.

Furthermore, the above mentioned have driven away supporters that gave a s**t & brainwashed the remaining supporters to think everything is okay & there’s nothing to see here.

We are making up the numbers to accomodate the television rights deal, nothing more. The club now has no identifiable features & is just a statistic.

Congrats Richo, Simon & Matt!

Omg how hard can it be kicking .here is the masters step plan for success.
Visualise a line from the middle of goals to where you are standing .
Set your self as many step as you need to feel momentum before kicking .Mine was 9.
Hold the ball at knee level as walking in ,this will control the ball drop .
Kick the f in goal and celebrate .
Simple steps ,simple execution simpletons who can’t do it .
28.3 For the year from chf says if works .
Now who do I invoice for this ?

Would like to hear how Membrey and Weller are kicking for goal at training.
Could be a mix of injury and confidence. If they're butchering it at training, injury a fair influence I'd say. Weller kicks like his ankle is dodgy, I feel sorry for him if that's the case as it might mean the end for him. My own ankle is shot. Just running is painful let alone kicking. Hopefully Membrey gets over his trouble real soon or Battle might have to take his spot. I liked what Richo said about Marshall. I agree he's a good kick and if he backs himself his ceiling is high. The Hickey combo looks promising.

Quoted for truth. A steaming pile of s**t this club now is. No identity. No talent. No hunger. No care.

All the forwards were out on the ground before the game practicing goal kicking, and Membrey was nailing most of his shots.
It is mostly a confidence issue with him, but I'm sure his knee injury earlier in the season has had some affect on his kicking as well.

Interesting fortnight too.

Alistair Clarkson has whinged about Sydney blocking off the ball which has been going on for a decade .
Went to that game with mate they did get away with blue murder unfortunately they (Hawks )have been doing that tactic for a decade too particularly against a bloke who wore number 12 for StKilda.
Also the tactic of Hawthorn player standing / blocking the opposition player on the mark no other club allowed
but hey it’s Hawthorn.

Result ..no fine encouragement from the boss of the AFL.

Damien Hardwick whinges about Dusty getting tagged , held, blocked and ... again no fine even thought of

John Longmire whinges about their tactics being discussed in the media knowing it’s illegal but hey we are
Sydney the AFL wants us to play finals every year to keep the TV rights $ coming thru.

Chris Scott whinges about a tactic that Geelong have also perfected for 11 years without penalty being
broadcast probably goes with any decision that is given by umpires against the Cats throwing hands in the air
in a child tantrum .

Adam Simpson complains about frees & reports of his players .

Funny Stkilda get bent over week after week .....finished every year for frees against/frees for down bottom
Consistently get bad embarrassing decisions by umpires , just ignored its only Stkilda .

Not a word .

Find it hilarious the clubs doing all the whinging are the very ones benefiting from being the most rich
powerful ones of the competition.

Take a look at Bruce early this year and he is very much over the ball like in the first set of examples. Actually I think most of those saints photos were taken prior to this year.

Yep that's nearly always the issue. I taught my kid that way and he's a dead eye set shot on most angles using a drop punt. He gets his head over the ball and hunching over with short ball drop. It's not that hard.

I heard a commentator say you get more distance from not hunching though, is that true or baloney?

I never played unfortunately.

Watch old footage of one of the best, Peter Hudson. He would crouch so low over the ball, his forehead was nearly touching it. Decrease the distance of the drop and fewer things can go wrong. Hudson was one of the few who was a brilliant player and a good teacher. Remember, this is the man who took Loewey from being unable to hit the side of several barns, to a very reliable set kick and a 90 goal in a year forward. Should've won the Nobel Prize for miracles for that feat. I wonder what Huddo is up to?

Peter Hudson is part of the richest Cotorie group at Hawthorn .
