I was a bit surprised that Port delisted this kid because I thought he showed a bit.

Would he suit us as a backup to Farmer?

Can we get him in the draft??

Do you rate him??

Your thoughts?

Well this thread is really rolling along nicely isn't it!!

May I expand it by asking if you lot think there are any of the delisted players from this year who might suit us.

I say this with the success of one Steven Armstrong in mind.

No one springs to mind. We have 35 guys on the list with afl experience so best to use our 7 spots on kids and hopefully a couple end up being really good in 3 or 4 years time, instead of taking guys who will be handy in the short term.

Yep...I probably should have clarified myself on this point earlier.
I agree we definitely need to look to youth to fill those 7 spots.
But we need to look at guys/kids who have been delisted from other clubs, because they have been through an AFL pre-season or two and have learned the ropes so to speak. Lets face it they are still kids and sometimes with a change of environment they can shine.
Steven Armstrong was a kid who had a tough run with the Dees and got rookie listed and got lucky and he deserved it.
Ezard was one who I thought may be one we could look at because I feel we need a backup to the Wiz. I realise Belly and Hase can rotate through a forward pocket, but he may have been a handy aquisition.

Anyway thats what I reckon.
