hahaha Max isn't pulling any punches

EDIT: For Context, the OP spent the year taking potshots at Max and shitting on his WDC, then said "it would be an honour" if he would join his sim racing team

Awesome video showing what ALO has to do before and during a formation lap.

Can't wait to see what the racing will be like next year. Obviously there'll still be a big gap between the top teams and the also-rans, but hopefully the racing will be more exciting amongst the more evenly matched teams.

Looking at that front wing end-plate, I reckon drivers will be more cautious about sticking their nose in to closing gaps. If that wing makes contact with another car they'll either lose way more aero than they do when they damage the current end plates, or they'll do more damage to the whole front wing because of the wing being more "one piece" ...
There is the possibility that the grid will be a lot closer together going forward due to the cost cap that has been put in place. The days of Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari spending whatever they want are over.

The big question is whether any team has found an exploit that will give them an advantage going into the year.

2022 may just return to our regular F1 programming.....

Depending on how things pan out with Russia and Ukraine, could we see Sochi taken off the calendar? Either because of danger or as a sanction move?

A Las Vegas night race has all the flags for "stunning visuals, terrible racing" written all over it, which seems to be the main priority of F1 right now (Miami GP being staged in a football stadium carpark).
Also perhaps a little overkill having 3 U.S GPs? Would love to see F1 race in Africa

F1 is owned by a U.S. entity, so obviously they see their home turf as a place to improve the bottom line.
And realistically the U.S.is disposal income rich compared to any nation in Africa.
The judgement of “stunning Visuals, terrible racing” is already a self fulfilled prophecy.

The scepticism is justified in regards to some of the more recent street circuits on the calendar. You basically need to design something that is borderline unsafe (Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia) to attract any racing that is worth watching.

Like AFL with GC and GWS - they are tapping into a market to make money.

Anyone else see the joke that was the Safety Car period in the latest Formula E race? First the crane drove onto the circuit, which caused the cars to back up and crash into each other (minor damage) and then around the 7 minute mark, the recovered car is being hoisted in the air and nearly gets swung into an oncoming car :eekv1:

Stumbled upon the full 1990 Australian GP on YouTube yesterday. Those cars were beautiful.

Alfa launching their car after first testing.. not doing a Williams surely
Quite a few teams do the car launch at the track prior to the start of testing. There is no coverage of the Barcelona test and I presume Alfa have delayed until press is permitted.
