Well that was drama filled. Lewis going out with the bollard, Ferraris WCC looks ****ed with LeClerc starting from the back. Max keeping it off the wall somehow in Q3 and Nico pulling his Haas into the top 5.

Oscar is only 58 laps from being the fourth person to race every lap in a given season 🙏

If you were Williams you would almost take that deal now.

Sainz out + the money that Red Bull will have to put up to get him.
Albon and Colapinto drivers for 2025

Colapinto is not ready though and Vowles loves Sainz. I think he's realistic they won't keep Carlos long term he's probably hoping he can get back to Ferrari when Lewis is pensioned or RBR when Max leaves or merc if kimi fails. But they are happy to have a good driver like Carlos for 2-3 years.

Anyway red bull are idiots and will probably pick Lawson and hadjar and one is not good enough and the other is not ready.

perez saying he’s contracted for 2025 at rb and will be there. is that a pig i see flying past the window?

He's angling for a payout $$.

Keep on hearing Ricciardo's name mentioned as a driver.

Talk is they want a young american rookie (like Colton Herra or Pato O'Ward*) and then an experienced F1 Driver alongside. Daniel fits the bill from a marketing perspective, but not sure his heart is in F1 anymore.

*I realise Pato is not American, but he is in the US market.

I can see why they would want DR especially publicity wise but I think the issue is he's so disillusioned by what happened at the end at RB I don't think he has the same love for the sport anymore and he clearly doesn't need the money so he won't come back. But they will probably try and get him in some sort of off track marketing capacity especially for the US market.

Has Herta got around the points for the superlicence issue?

As the 2024 season wraps up, time for a bit of reflection on how things have changed.

Some very famous racing helmets in that bunch. Something to be said for a driver picking a design and sticking with it for their career imho.
Graham Hill sticking out like a sore thumb

I think that's also motorcycle legend Mike 'The Bike' Hailwood with the White Red & Gold stripe

I mean, no shit.

Don't recall he had a whole lot of options though did he? Last night certainly won't help his cause.
Its a tough one, you dont tend to have many options when youve spent years getting beaten by your teammate, even if that guy is Lewis Hamilton (or Max in Perez' case). But like Danny Ric you want to stay in the sport because you believe you can do the job.

Valterri is better than a few on the grid but is that enough to keep him around before someone who might have a future ?? Probably not.

Can always be down to luck depending on contracts etc as well.

He may have been better sitting out a year and then seeing but then you run the risk of never getting back in.
