I saw a post race comment somewhere from Chandhok about RICs pit delay and his response was - that it was during the safety car period and it doesn't explain why he couldn't match his team mate when on track.
This was despite admitting earlier he wasn't aware RIC was delayed for so long and why - and so completely dismissing the fact the delay may have had something to do with RICs car not being up to pace.
Look, I understand Sky F1 is focussed on the British subscribers and so he and Croft are focussed on the top end of the field during the race and Brit drivers elsewhere rather than non Brit tail-enders. But without Brundle on hand for balance, Chandhok seems to follow a line of Sky commentators who have the drivers they are biased against and couldn't give a stuff about being balanced and informed about.
It just seems just so unprofessional. And I fret for when Brundle finally gives the commenting game up.
I actually think Sky has gotten better.
The additions of Naomi Schiff and Bernie Collins have been great, and Ted is doing fewer races too. (I do like Ted though personally)
Crofty is sitting out a few more this year with the F1 for kids commentator guy taking his spot for a few races.
Seems like there is a succession plan going on there.
Nico and Jenson are fantastic with their recent and relevant insights into current F1.
The issue with Karun however is that while his analysis technically is really good, he seems to have agendas and bias against some drivers, particularly DR which does slip through and it just doesn't need to.
