I wanted to hate this (because of the company), but its actually not bad. Agree that its good to have a different colour on the grid.

The name is ugh (I think the British commentary are going with Sauber - hopefully) but it does make a change from the usual dark colour schemes. I think fluoro green highlights can work and it makes the car instantly recognisable. Was a big fan of the old Force India and chrome McLaren for this reason.

Which reminds me - what are they going to call Visa CashApp Red Bull? I'd rather we don't have the main sponsor being how a team is referred to during commentary and race reports.

TBF I don't know if this has actually been confirmed (the initial announcement just said Visa Cash App RB).

Yeah BILD have a track record of incorrect stories, pretty sure they were the ones who also ran/started the whole Susie Wolff thing late last year that was a nothingburger.

Be interesting to see if there is any merit to the claims........also adds an interesting dynamic to the below :

As for what RBR has said about the claims:

Been doing a little bit more light reading on the Horner stuff this morning, so far I've seen:

Inappropriate controlling behaviour
Aggressive management style
Dick pics
Been asked to resign/step down
Its all nothing and its internal RBR politics coming to a head (there has been a power struggle at RBR as of late involving Horner, that much is true)

I think its safe to say there is fair bit of conjecture floating around at the moment.

What an insane week its been in the F1 Off Season... haha

To be fair, drivers already don't really take risks in the sprint races as it is, so I don't think we will see much change in that regards.

Though good change overall, should mean teams are not locked in for one setup all weekend and can actually make adjustments which SHOULD mean a more competitive Quali/Race

The four PUs limit is a good change in my view.

The cars are too reliable now, would like to see them push the limit a bit more which teams can do with more PUs and that would increase the risk of a blow up. Having a couple of top cars retiring increases the chances of a lower team making a surprise podium.

Question for the F1 purists - do we count Piastri's sprint win last year as the first win of his F1 career?

The biggest change could be DRS after one lap. It should allow cars to stick with the lead couple of cars for longer and hopefully prevent someone from being 5 seconds clear after 5 laps.

While its his first F1 "win" of his career in any format, as far as the record books are concerned he is at 0 "wins" as it isn't a Grand Prix.

TBH I'm with the record books on this one, his first win will be when he wins a GP.

This is better. Good to get the sprint out of the way earlier. Should never have been anything between quali and the race.

I mean the commentary has always gone with the team name. McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes etc rather than Malboro Scuderia Ferrari and AMG Petronas Mercedes etc.

Sainz is from the Red Bull stable and Perez is obviously a year-by-year proposition so that's probably the most likely move in my view.

Surprised if Sainz takes the significant downgrade to Sauber.

It might be all he is offered.

Sainz, not even an argument really. Younger, faster (imo) and probably would ask for less money too.

There really shouldn't be any excuses for Daniel this season. With a full pre-season in the car, he really needs to be comfortably beating Yuki I think to be any chance of the RBR seat.

Last year with the exception of Mexico (although even then Yuki had similar pace, but had grid penalties and a spin in the race) he really only matched Yuki's pace at best. But given the injury and the mid season start it was okay.

If the Racing Bull is now in closer sync with RBR (based on comments/complaints coming in from other teams, it seems that way) then it should be a consistent point scoring car.

the partnership thing would mean they are in it to get into the american market you'd think. car signage doesn't some cheap at mclaren.
