Ric losing his seat was probably the right move but how the **** does Perez keep his???? Man he must be bringing in what 50mil+ in cash?

Ric still had moments of brilliance but was to inconsistent so i can see why they moved him on.

His sponsors must be amazing.

Yes. and worth a fortune to Red Bull.

Checo's personal sponsorship deals with Disney, Telcel, Mobil, Claro, NescafƩ and KitKat are reported to bring about US$5m p.a. to RBR.

But his biggest sponsor by far is the Mexican Billionaire Carlos Slim HelĆŗ who the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranked as the 11th-richest person in the world at the end of 2023 , with a net worth of $105 billion or about 7% of Mexico's GDP, making him the richest person in Latin America - mainly through his telecoms assets. (Slim has dropped down to 20th on the billionaires' list over the course of 2024 with his net worth now a paltry $90 billion - tough times for some :'()

Even with the strong financial backing of the Mateschitz at their disposal, that sponsorship money comes in pretty handy when it comes to covering the cost of Verstappen's $55m annual salary and the rest of the F1 budget.

Pretty hard for someone like Danny Ric to compete with that.

agree! but it’s also very costly if the team doesn't perform. particularly if it can be attributed to a weak link.

Give it another 18 months and my bet is they won't be called Alpine either
True. It'll probably be Mastercard Ladbrokes Google Racing by Alpine.

I don't really know how the ballot worked, but I just got an email saying I wasn't successful

I was successful somehow. Says I can do up to 6 tickets but also says tickets aren't guaranteed. I won't need 6 so if code works for someone else happy to share. Not sure if order needs to match my name.

I was successful in the ballot, but decided not to use it after I finally got through the queue to discover that prices had been jacked up an extra 25% with their "dynamic pricing model"... will login again tomorrow during general sale. FFS Ticketmaster!!
I get that it's a popular event, but these jacked up prices during presales is just stuffed. Preying on people who are desperate to go to events/concerts knowing that they'll be scared of missing out.
