These fat long cars have effectively killed racing at this track. Obviously never an overtaking paradise, but a single real pass in 48 laps in a field of 18/19 is ridiculous.

Throw in the fact they’re all tyre managing and not pushing any sort of limits (therefore no chance of a safety car), and this track is dead until they tear down and fully redesign the cars..

not a single wheel to wheel down the dip out of the tunnel is sad to see..
Maybe Antonio can change that

I've walked around it and there's nothing you can do except build a road out over the Med.

Reign in the dimensions of the cars in the future builds, resulting in more track width being available for passes, and importantly, less dirty air.
Also shortening them up would help with enabling successful passes.
But then again, there’s about 20 things that need to be changed from the current rules to make races more exciting and even/“random”

Daniel has struggled on tyres at times. To be honest, it looks like McLaren struggle on the harder tyres as both are struggling yet again.

I mean you can't overtake in a car that's 1 second quicker... so why not just coast?

That would more or less downgrade the cars to Formula 2 standard. Can't be doing that just for the sake of one race in the calendar.

Really we need to just dump this track and let them have Monaco as a standalone race all on its own without being worth points for any championship. Make it an invitation only one-off race.
But that will never happen, so we'll just have these huge cars on a tiny track and pretend it's all good.

I think that's why Hamilton went for the lap straight away, Should have got gasly to "have a power issue"

It's kinda sad that only 64 drivers in 71 seasons have led the Championship. 95% of that must have been pre-2000

Yeah but mistakes on this course aren't ones that you pass with unless he's in the barrier... and if he's in the barrier you want to be a few seconds away to prevent yourself from getting in that mess.
