Part of an article from Planet-F1.com, sums up perfectly.

LOSERS
The Global TV Audience
For the neutral, this race was about as dull as being trapped in a lift with Olivier Panis and Ron Dennis.

And imagine what the grand prix would have been like without pit-stops?

Barcelona now matches Monaco as a track where overtaking is impossible. Bernie and Max should forget about castigating circuits like Silverstone and give some serious attention to improving the show by supporting tracks where there is a proper race. They’ve made a start by looking at braking systems for 2006-2008, but as so many people have been telling them for so long, they need to reduce the reliance on mechanical grip for the cars.

Who cares how big the media centre at a circuit is when you’ve just witnessed something as interesting as root canal work?

Most non-Ferrari F1 fans (excuse the generalization) probably wouldn’t mind seeing Schumacher win so much if there was only a bit of action further down the field.

The quality of the TV coverage has been excellent this year with Ecclestone’s own TV producers controlling the cameras and homing in on every potential battle or overtaking move. But when there aren’t any, it gets a bit dire.

And...

You can tell what kind of a race and what kind of a season we’re having when the race commentators have time to start looking ahead to the following year before the halfway mark of a grand prix.

There was more talk about where Webbo would be in 2005 than what he was doing in the race.

People who like nailing their scrotum to planks of wood for fun
Up until now this was one of the most painful things masochists could inflict on themselves of an afternoon. Now they can put away their hammers and six inch nails and just rent videos of the 2004 Spanish Grand Prix.

So yeah, the general consensus is that it was a boring race:D

They really need it to bucket down in Monaco and hope there is a massive pile-up. Because that's the only way anything exciting is going to happen this year.

But I agree - the dominance of Schumacher isn't the problem, it's the inability of cars to overtake.

here here slax, they should make these races more exciting, make more 50-50 corners with a little bit more of a chance of a collision. instead of us, the fans getting served these snore fests every 2nd sunday night.
