I was pretty angry early, but if you break it down, Moloney was going regardless, his head wasn't in it. If we can snag someone like Pederson with the pick, then it is not too bad of an exchange.

Rivers is a very good footballer, but as a third tall, it's hard to call him irreplaceable and the AFL have taken that way.

Agree with this. The only reason I'd be happy to cough up something for Pedersen is if we offloaded Martin for something decent. I don't see the reasoning behind getting Pedersen also unless Martin is traded out.

I feel like the Pies trading for decent picks, then using FA to get like-for-like players is the smartest way to use the system. But yeah, Geelong too. Seems to favour bringing players into your club a lot more than letting them go (excluding BS Port and Saints compo).
