The FA has previously said they won't have VAR in the FA cup because not all games can have it. We saw a shocking decision in the United v Leicester game where the technology could have intervened.

But now the FA is saying let's have VAR automated offside for 7 games but not in the Preston v Burnley game. It seems inconsistent.

For semi automatic offside certification & installation will be different from venue to venue. It's a long and expensive process. Worth it for PL clubs but not worth it for Preston's ground as they most likely won't be promoted.

This is why semi auto offside has generally only been used at major tournaments. Up to 10 stadiums to certify only and being an offseason tournament there is a long lead time to get systems certified, calibrated etc.

I'm not sure how this will work with promoted clubs as all parties probably won't want to start working on semi automatic offside installations until they are 100% confirmed to be promoted.

You can take the player out of Spurs, but you can’t take the Spursy out of the player.

Tanganga first with the own goal, then the rebound to the otherwise offside Palace player for the second.

The first day of semi auto offside and it takes 5 minutes to disallow a goal because it breaks.

This weekend should be the last time we see it for a while

Cunha is a ****ing dumb campaigner. Has a swing at Kerkez and then 'headbutted' him. No reason other than Kerkez grabbed him because Cunha was preventing him from taking a quick free kick.

He scored a worldie but barely celebrated, Then petulantly got himself sent off. Maybe he doesn't want to be there.
