Carlisle United was 2-0 down at Reading after 90 minutes, but a hattrick from substitute Regan Linney has helped Carlisle to an improbable 3-2 win in extra tme.

Oldham with the manager's son on loan getting a hattie with a spectacular first goal.

Now from what I see give the schedule of the FA Cup is on 11th Jan, the FA Cup website is saying all the 32 matches in the 3rd round will be played at the same time, that can't be right can it?

I just had a quick look and the Google schedule shows every game on January 11th at 2AM. Maybe it’s not reliable information as this would be a first I think.

Edit: Just saw you said it’s information from the FA Cup website. So that confirms it.

It does feel a bit weird to have 32 games on at the same time for the FA Cup 3rd round. Just would have though maybe 4-5 of those games at least would have been spread out.

I doubt the FA make changes to the schedule given we are a month out as well.

Crazy to think that Wrexham are 9th in the championship. They were in non-league football 3 years ago and could genuinely be playing in the PL as early as next season. What probably started as something for show has turned into a real success.

Luton did something similar. Non-league to PL in 10 seasons. The pyramid system gives huge opportunities to well run/financed clubs. But there's also no hiding place if you're shit. I've seen United in the 2nd tier and City in the 3rd.

Wrexham being above Leicester in the Championship made me think how things can change drastically.

10 years ago Leicester were champs of England, while Wrexham were non-league.

Yikes another set piece goal allowed this time to a National League North side...

A conference league team 117 places below the reigning FA cup champions is surely the biggest ever “magic of the cup” win of all time, yeah?
