Just saw Freo not going to redraft him because of knee injury that has sidelined him possibly till July 2003.

He could be a cheap option for our midfeild as Freo were only going to pay him $350k over 2 years, His price would have dropped greatly over 2002.

His motivation would also be high, by us giving him an opportunity to resurect his career.

I think he's worth a shot. I thought he was a class act at Port and his departure was purely a money issue.

There are plenty of top liners running around who are living proof that there can be complete recovery following major knee surgery.
