I signed up for Myspace ages ago but never really used it much, most profiles are just cluttered with pointless shit and it's pretty ****en annoying to look at.
Signed up for Facebook today to suss that out and it does look a lot better, I will probably keep using it.
I recently turned 26.

Facebook = 40 Million Users
Myspace= 200 Million Users

Content is king. Myspace is far better in my mind.

I love myspace becuase of the music i can surf around and here on it. Myspace Music is the main reason they get my vote over Facebook, which looks plain and boring without music. Also most night clubs i go to have myspace accounts in which i can see what DJ's are playing n all that which is fair cool.

Myspce is more personalized too imo. Still a great tool to keep in touch with friends, but is similar to facebook in that regard.

Facebook does have some good features that myspace doesn't like seeing similar friends in other friends accounts. I went on someones today and had things on his news board like '____ posted a comment on ____ wall'.. '____ threw a sheep at you'.... what the? Stuff i could care less about.

Ultimately you are going to enjoy the one which has more of your friends on it. Myspace is probably for people 19-20 and under. Facebook is certainly an older crowd. Everyone at my uni has facebook but barely any of y mates have them. We are still all myspace.

Facebook: 40 million human members
Myspace: 40million human members, 60million artists, 60million spam/advertising members and Another 40million smurf accounts (made by the first 40million).

Facebook is for people who actually want to catch up with friends. Myspace is for picking up emo 16 year olds.

Uni student (19yo) using facebook. Started with myspace when I was 17+, got bored by the time I was 18 and decided to get facebook after a while due to friends recommending it etc.

Its awesome to catch up with people you lost contact with. Just yesterday I joined my primary school 'alumni' group. And I found out one of the chicks from my class grew up to be really really hot :p.

and dead teenagers.

Why is it that everytime someone under the age of 20 who dies the News always goes to their myspace page?

I'm on both, I have more friends on facebook and have found people I couldn't on myspace, I have 1 good friend on myspace the rest are just there, know them somehow but never catch up on it.
On facebook I've caught up with ex-girlfriends, team-mates from a few years ago, old school friends that were missing in action, People I used to work with like Mick Patton and a ton of stable people from my horse racing days, Micks been in Dubai for almost 8 years.

Facebook is simple yet fun.

Warning its a bit, depressing: www.mydeathspace.com

I've seen a couple of those pages, some of them link to peoples myspaces who have committed suicide etc. Its tragic to see how their loved ones react. Its not right. :(

How are you supposed to look for primary schools? I can only see Uni or High School.

Click on groups. Then search for your primary school. They don't have 'networks' for primary schools.

ive got both, had myspace since end of 2005, facebook for about a month, itsr easier to find people on facebook and it loads quicker. i like both, however myspace gets the nod as i believe im used to it and find it easier to use, on facebook you just fly through pages. myspace is more personal. facebook is simple but does have good groups to join that offer a bit of humour.

There are alumni type things for schools in myspace too.. I know because i am part of them soonce again its just another similar feature. There are tools thatenable you to search through the alumni by age, year graduated etc etc.

Once again like i said before you will like the one that has more friends on it. I have more friends n myspace so i prefer that.

If it was absolutely equal i probably would still prefer myspace because as you said,60 million artists (although i doubt that figure).

myspace is shithouse to load. when idiots have 50 you tube and music clip on their main page. I don't know why people think that having all that crap will actually make their page better?

I pride myself as a bit of a techno wiz but myspace is just toooooo hard to set up.

facebook

dont really care however i need a few more posts..

Newbie ranking is embarrassing:o
