Facebook Vs MySpace

Do you either of these two? If so, which one? Curious to see what social networking site is more popular. I'm Facebook myself.

Neither. I'd hate to see the amount of time i spent on hotmail, BF, msn AND either Facebook or Myspace.

I used to despise them both and people that used them. My ex created a Myspace page for me one day so I felt obliged to give it a go. I liked the way you could customize the layout but I've recently started using facebook and it's much better for looking up old friends etc. The way it works also makes it easier to see what your mates are up to without having to visit their pages.

Facebook shits all over Myspace IMO.

I have both. Got myspace first & had it for longer so I like it more. you can do lots more with it imo.

i have both, use myspace more regularly as im just gettin into facebook, but myspace is very simple for looking up friends...
type their name in a search box, click person and kaboom. if too many ppl come up, type you city...

That's what you do in fb except you can narrow the search even further with their age, sex, networks..

It just seems to be a contest to see who can get the most "friends".

One geezer i looked at had over 600 friend apparently. That is crap, how can someone have so many friends and have actually ment them all and talked to them for more then 5 minutes?.

You know, that guy at school you never hardly ever talked to and for 5 years the total amount of time you talked to him was a couple of minutes and that was only for a class activity when the teacher made you sit in groups. His my friend on facebook along with 300 people that i have but i couldnt tell you **** all about them.

From my experience most people treat these sites as a bit of a bragging or dick waving contest. Sure they are alright to track down lost friends or whatnot but apart from that what point do they serve. Seems to be a bit of a wank to see who can get the most friends, who can pose with the most fluro on, who can speak utter shit about their favourite sports and music and other pointless crap.

I was of very much the same opinion at first but for me it's become a good way to keep in touch with people that I like but wouldn't always necessarily go out of my way to pick up the phone and talk to.

BTW... I thought the talking shit about music part would have been right up your alley?

Facebook was pretty cool when it was only university networks allowed, but as is the deal with pretty much everything, they commercialised which I have no problem with.
