Most were from my school, sports teams, work and my family has about 100 people in it so that was the bulk of it.
So you add everyone that you have a slight affiliation to? I never understood this, if I don't have the persons mobile number I generally don't have them on facebook. Exception being people you meet on travels.

If you culled 700 how many people do you actually have as "friends"?

Some people use Facebook differently to you believe it or not.

Please go on. If it's a business I understand or for networking purposes, absolutely but why would you have someone you went to primary school with on your facebook? I just find it kind of weird that some people know a lot about a persons life they never have any intention of talking to again and on the flip side having people know a lot about you.

Well, some people use Facebook for different purposes, you don't understand it but please, continue to use it how you see fit hey?

What are these different purposes though? I know I don't understand, that's why I am asking. Jesus

Didn't you just say it though? You have only people you speak to often anyway, some people prefer to stay in contact with a wider audience. I'm not really sure what else you want to know???

hopes of that were dashed when the comments section proved it were 100% serious.
Did they get their cash back because if not of course they're not going to care about other people's lives being affected when they've lost a chunk of money they earned themselves. Hopefully if this is the case they'll one day look back and realise it wasn't that bad (for them personally).

I was wondering why people were posting "me too" updates this morning on facebook, but it's a new campaign in light of the recent Weinstein sexual harassment cases.

THERE can be no doubt the #MeToo hashtag campaign has highlighted the magnitude of sexual harassment and abuse.

But, once again, it’s words not action.

While women — and some men — may welcome the solidarity and sense of empowerment that comes from hashtagging their experiences, is it really going to change anything? Is a hashtag going to reshape the world so it’s a safe place for my daughters?

No, what we need is a plan, a charter, a set of responses to respond to everything from low-level harassment to full-scale abuse.

#MeToo as in he sexually harassed those posting the hashtag?

No, but now there's an issue with the metoo hashtag.
......
Actress Alyssa Milano had tweeted, "Suggested by a friend: If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote 'Me too' as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem." It was since revealed byEbony that a campaign with the same name and aims, though without the social media virality, was initiated by a black woman named Tarana Burke ten years ago.

Its success as a campaign was the totality of its saturation, every platform taken over, illuminating the exhausting ubiquity of sexual violence. Many people chose to simply reproduce the phrasing of the original tweet; others went into harrowing detail about the extent of their own experiences; still others, like me, voiced a muddied and ambivalent relationship to awareness campaigns like these.

If it makes Alyssa feel better - If had to post #metoo on mysapce every time I fapped over her as a teenager it would have brought the world internet to a close.

No you write me too if you've been sexually assaulted or harassed.

I was thinking thats not me- but actually I have. Have posted about it here before so wont repeat.

Still think about it to this day, really upset me at the time.
