Do GPS phones still track your movements even if 'you don't use it' ?
Maybe, i don't know. I don't think it was even in phones yet when i left the phone biz. More just a placeholder example that popped into my head. Most common ones in my day that people had trouble "not using" were camera, MMS, SMS, internet. Took me quite a while one day to explain to a cranky old bastard that SMS, while always installed, is 100% optional.

This dickhead loser unemployed stoner keeps clogging up my feed asking people to borrow money until his dole check comes in.

Deleting him.

F*ck me that is lazy -

I had atleast 4 people hit me up for change on Brunswick St last night, their stories were atleast somewhat convincing and it would be a bloody hard gig asking people for change - Kudos for their efforts..

But panhandling via facebook? I wonder if he liked Kony and thought it be effective

It's amusing how no one ever likes it or comments.
It was a culture shock for me when i visited Melbourne last year all the bums wandering around asking for change
One bloke came up to me and asked for money to buy a bed, i gave him $2
Then i had a junkie ask me for train fare, got a bit annoying after awhile....

Never understood their kind of logic, seems so simple doesn't it? Used to run into it all the time when i worked in a phone shop.
"This phone is perfect, but it has GPS. I don't want GPS."
"So... just don't use it?"
"No. I don't want one with GPS, I've never used it before and don't need it."
"Yeah, Ok. So... just don't use it?"

Wonder how many people read an entire newspaper because it's there. That reminds me, I have to go and write to the Advertiser and ask them to cut out the business, cars and finance sections. I don't use them and if they're there it's too hard to just ignore them.
Agree completely.

I do empathise with courtjester tho as my willpower is terrible at times too. Ive started turning off mobile data on my fone so (a) it doesnt use data without me knowing and (b) its an extra barrier to getting sucked into wasting time on facebook or forums (eg wat im doing now lol)

14 days, it gets deleted. But I have been told to delete all your passwords, because it can be bought back to you.

I deleted it once already, and just signed up again with a new email address.

I also meticulously went through and deleted all the stuff I wanted deleted, from group and fan pages, personal information, photos etc. I also could have deleted all of my contacts if I wanted.

I might also add, there is the facebook way of deletion (The way they advertise) Then there's the way tehy don't advertise. This girl may have done the former, in which yes you can get it back. I'd rather play it safe, delete my passwords, and my email address in which I only set up for facebook.

How's that work. The Facebook way is "deactivation" I believe.

Yes. Even when they are switched off.

Read your Snowden.

Yeah, there is 2 ways like he mentioned. I couldn't find the way to permanently delete the account until i googled it and found this link that took me to a page on their help centre with information on both options. But yeah, they don't seem to post up the permanent option anywhere at all under settings.

What's with all these "Here's my Facebook movie" posts?
Pretty self explanitory really. Click a button and facey knocks up a short montage of your first few posts/pics, most liked posts/pics, and stuff like that. Pretty nifty.

Cool ta.

Thinking of deactivating facebook, but my Uni courses uses the facebook groups for group assignments and shiz, ugh.

What counts as a friend? Seriously, I get requests from people who I may see once or twice a week but because they know my name, we are friends.

Of my 250 or so friends, I talk to and hang out with about 10 or so in the real world. I wonder why I accept friend requests.

I used the same excuse for keeping facebook. We still have the uni forums, and I connect with everyone in my circles on Google+. You could always set up a bogus FB account, with no friends, and subscribe to those particular groups, thus ignoring every other aspect of FB. I may consider doing this when I have math next semester, cos its really helpful.

From the girlfriend of I guy I have on FB. Came up on my news feed

for me, this year will be about making myself happy instead of letting people walk all over me, being a push over and trying to please everyone.

i will do what i love and what makes me comfortable so if i want to stay at home and finish reading my book instead of going out clubbing with you then i will! if i want to keep my car instead of buying a fuel efficient hatchback then i will! and for all those who complain about my wardrobe: i no longer care for your opinion! it honestly does not bother me one bit if you think i'm a **** or an attention seeking whore because, for your information, i am happily in love with one of the most amazing men in my life and i already have an abundance of beautiful family and friends to share my life with. peace

So, she's the girlfriend of a guy you don't care about. Time for a cleanout :)
Strats rated her at an 8. 8 is worth putting up with the bad statuses in exchange for a perve.
