So what's this scam - nice looking but not stunning young model that I've never heard of friend requests me. Has been a Facebook member for 2 years but I can't see any friends, not even me (I had to add her of course), although there are a number of photos, all of herself, and things she likes along with a seldom used timeline. Says she lives in my small (1000 people, rural) town and was educated in Canada. Wants to get to know me and to tell her "a little bout" myself.

1. Scam,
2. I'm hot and young models can't resist, or
3. Scam?

What's the scam?

PS. I just did an image search on some of her photos and found nothing so they possibly aren't stolen from another site.

There's a difference between picking up the cheque on a first date and someone needing $3k to bribe their way out of a corrupt prison for a crime that they were framed for, or whatever it is they need money for

Some of them are just cam models looking for clients. I had one recently that was liking all my friends comments trying to get them to add too.

I get it but it still doesn't explain how prolific it has become. I have people in their 50s popping up in my feed doing it. i don't think it is egotistical I see it as trend following. Who the **** wants to see someone's face. Show me experiences, panaromas, something that Excites me

It's one of the stupidest things going. I get pictures of you in front of something, like s landmark etc. but a photo of just your face pouting or some shit...??

Even worse are those half or quarter face selfies.
