What's bad is now I can't tell if someone's being serious or just making a pathetic cry for internet attention. Example: A female friend who I went to school with put up a status to the effect of 'life is unfair'. A mutual friend of both of us who was in the same class trolled it, probably thinking it was one of those bullshit attention seeking statuses.

It turns out the status was about another girl who went to the same school as us. She died yesterday.

**** I hate Facebook sometimes.

Worse when you have someone just vanish from your private group... no goodbyes or explanation or anything, if you don't enjoy the company, just say so! Ah well, as long as they know they're always welcome back I guess...

That would suck. Bit of a Nomad act really. Not sure who would want to do that.
All I know is one day I had access to the group (proud turtle owners) I was in, next day I didn't. Thought it must have shut down as I couldn't find it, but it's still there.
