What is this, all the 20 somethings on my feed are hashtagging it even though its not even twitter. Kids these days, dumbasses.

Facebook links to hashtags now. Get with the times. ;)

Also, if they upload a photo from Instagram to Facebook, it'll have the same caption. Because Instagram used hashtags, this could also be another reason for it.

Yep, you need to dismantle it piece by piece over the space of a few weeks, other wise is is all still there.
Apparently FB is on the way out. It's the Levis effect, Gen Z hate it because their parents think it's cool.

No social network is even close to taking the reins at the moment. Facebook still has a while as the top dog.

Literally the only reason I keep facebook is in the dire hope that someone with huge natural **** will post up a photo of themselves in a bikini to fap over- you know, that mate's ex-girlfriend or ex-girlfriend's sister (in my case), or friend of a friend that has a giant rack you're dying to see and has kept you barred up in the lonely hours of the night thinking about.

We've all been there before. It's a feeling that no amount of pr0n can quell.

A girl from Uni who I have on FB unloaded a whole album of when she went on holiday. Was just casually have a geeze through them and what do I see but a bikini nipple of her friend that must have been missed on review. The friend looked like only a 5 or so but hey, a nipple is a nipple

You are sitting on the worlds biggest repository of pornography and you get excited by a nipple on Facebook.

Seeing nipple/breast on a hot girl you know, who would never normally get her **** out, do pr0n or anything like that, and who you've always wondered what she looks like naked is better than any porno youll ever watch.

A girl I went to school with is currently on a diet and is doing the 'wearing old pants that are now too big' photos. She is using pants with an elastic waist and stretching the pants out, and isn't trolling. Wut? o_O

Isn't stalking and trolling the the primary reason Facebook exists...or have I missed something? If your not doing one or the other I feel your missing the point.;)

I finally did it guys. I deleted FB, well for the second time, and a 3 month break, but this time its forever.

I can't believe I actually managed to convince myself I'd need it for uni. Only a week ago I started to realize how incredibly vapid FB had become. Nearly every post was about something stupid, irrelevant, self centered, approval seeking, sympathy seeking; the list goes on. The sad part about it was that I'd become a part of it, and I too was falling victim to the bs of FB as mentioned above, and spending way too much time debating posts, and stiring up political and religious controversies . If I posted something and didn't get responses, I'd be upset. How sad and pathetic is that? But whats sadder, is that a shit post about being drunk can yield a shit load of responses. You get on the train; everyone's on FB, you go to work, get to your break, everyone immediately goes on FB. Have we distanced ourselves this far from reality? I feel as if we are trading away our special moments, and personal moments to anyone and everyone, most of which don't give a shit what you are doing. You're in public, and people are discussing FB conversations. life revolves around FB and its so utterly pathetic. Going through the final stages of my life on FB, I realized out of 100 friends, I have maybe 5 that I would converse with more than once a week on a personal level, and would consider real world friends. the rest were simply work colleagues and other random people met.

All people like me ask for is a clean social network. Video/audio/text chat, simple contact list NO NEWS FEED , but it seems Google is probably more suited to that, given the google docs and stuff for education and working in groups.

Anyway, hopefully I can start building on real meaningful relationships, that aren't vain and vapid relationships, hidden behind a computer screen.

I felt myself over the last few months falling into a trap through FB, and deleting it was fairly hard, but well worth it. I've always considered myself sucker proof, but obviously not, cos I got sucked in. I guess its ok as a networking tool if you can avoid all the rubbish, and use it for small conversations, and networking to build on real life relationships. But from what I've seen, a lot of people are falling into the same trap.

So thats my story, anyone else out there have a similar story? I haven't had time to go through the 900+ posts yet.

I was lucky I have been through periodic post deletions, and I managed to wipe the important stuff in about 5 hours. I freaked out, when I went to my history and it kept all my searches, every single one. Man how valuable is that to FB, now I know why people I'd searched for previously ALWAYS come up on the first letter typed.

This is the second time I've done this, and as long as you don't log back in within 14 days, the account is wiped. Mine currently says the account has been deactivated. If you don't delete posts, they will still show up.
I basically went through and deleted all my political and religious posts on pages, I left the footy ones, and other private groups for my school subjects that will help others out. But basically anything I don't want being found later was deleted. Last thing you want is going for a job interview and having some bs posted on a page. Its amazing how much data is tracked.

They reckon by 2017 numbers will decline bigtime, article in the paper this week about it being an infectious disease.

Have deleted almost everyone and taken most of the others off my news feed, only have family and actual friends left. Would delete it completely but it's good for events, messages and groups for sporting teams. Has made such a difference not comparing my life with "perceived" of others as well as not getting angry at constantly seeing people bragging, attention whoring or being just plain dumb
This was one of the reasons I wanted to kdeep it. But then I realized I don't nee to be a member of fb to keep in touch with my fav groups and organizations. Just keep a list of bookmarks

I have had minimal internet for the last few days and I've found myself missing BigFooty more than FB tbh. I did however miss all the soccer transfer stuff which I always get from FB
