A WOMAN has died after slamming her car into a truck while posting to Facebook about how happy Pharrell’s megahit Happy made her.
Courtney Ann Sanford, 32, crossed the median and crashed head-on into the truck in High Point, North Carolina on Thursday morning, according to My Fox 8.

Later, investigators shared a Facebook post they said Sanford made seconds before the deadly collision.

“The happy song makes me HAPPY,” the deceased wrote, referring to the cheery pop hit.

“The Facebook text happened at 8:33. We got the call on the wreck at 8:34,” said Lt. Chris Weisner with the High Point Police Department.

“In a matter of seconds, a life was over just so she could notify some friends that she was happy.”

Investigators also discovered Sanford had been posting repeated selfies as she drove down the road.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

on my way to uni last month, some girl hit me from behind. No damage to my car, so we got back on the way. Look behind me at the next traffic lights and she's texting or messaging. Can't people go without social networking for an hour? The police need to start getting out there and enforcing these laws, issuing more fines. Maybe introduce fixed cameras that can be viewed later to spot texters. Instead of fining people excessive amounts of money for doing 3km over the speed limit on safe roads, start fining these dumb bitches on phones.

I had a week off with no Facebook at all. Makes you realise how much you check it out of habit more than anything. I am back now because I have about 5 people I regularly chat to through it. Time for a cull on some rubbish contributors though
