I ****ing hate the notifications that tell you "___ is attending an event near you today". And? Why the **** do you think I would care?!

I hated the whole 2015 year in review. And the "you've been friends with Jack for 4 years now"

and, then you wonder who is 'Jack'

It's lame, some people are actually excited by the year in a review.

This! What a pointless notification, as if If care ___ is attending an event that doesnt even interest me.

I was on holiday overseas a couple of months ago, and got this notification for some happening in Melbourne.

I find the birthday notifications very annoying. I only say happy birthday to a few people on Facebook, and this is done through Messanger and I know when their birthday is. I also don't understand the point of say happy birthday to someone you barely meet.

Deactivated it whilst I still have messenger. Feeling slightly happier about life.

My year in review would not be suitable for minors if there was video evidence.

Barely knowing or meeting the people you have on facet is more or a reflection on you than FB creating videos or reminders of/for these people.
Barely knowing them was a bit of an exaggeration, but I don't think there's anything wrong with having people I met on exchange, old work mates etc. on Facebook and also to not consider them real friends who I need a 'friendship anniversary' with.

Disagree with the birthday part. I don't remember anyone's birthday, I've even forgotten my own one year!!!
I don't say happy birthday to everyone but FB has helped with reminding me.
Between 18 and 65, what is the point of birthdays anyway.
Drinking age, pension age, the rest who cares.

Don't know I've seen a few people on Facebook get excited about their 30th or 40th

Gave up Facebook on New Years, was over the narcissism and negativity on it from people on my list. If you go to a restaurant, tag yourself there and decide to give a review, it isn't a review. It's an opinion. Eat your meal and get the hell out.

Have logged in once, had a scroll down and deactivated the account. Feel better for it. Tiny bit smug too, the missus classes me as the same as an ex-smoker with my righteousness.

It isn't even really that. Its a simply case of "look at me, look at me" look how cool I am at, I'm checking into "......." with X, Y and Z and facebook is 100% narcissism.

I had 2 people on my facebook friends list. 1 a "cool kid" and the 2nd a "nerd". They basically posted the same thing and the coll kid got 400 likes and 250 comments from all the hangers on who want to be part of that crew.

The nerd got 2 likes and a few comments.

After that day, I decided to have a massive cull of friends. I only wanted peoples on my friends list who were really my friends. I un-friended anyone who had not liked or commented on anything I posted in 3 months and I don't go posting massive rants or shit like that. I use it to keep in touch with family who live in other states now as we continually move with my job.

I post on here more. May chuck the occasional photo up but really don't know what to write.

I guess in my life currently through job interviews, performance reviews, maybe dating and other standard bullshit you need so much justifications and putting up a show/answering endless questions having to justify yourself I can't be bothered knocking off and then doing it online as well.
