I've always thought it meant going away from them at the final siren (scoring the last few goals to seal a big win) , not them attempting a comeback.

Way I mean it you are both right....opening up a big lead in the last quarter and running away. So say up 12 after 3 quarters and it blows out to 45, etc...

Really hope Atkins has a blinder this week. For 2 reasons, if he’s on the end of a Bunch of ball it means we’ve won the midfield (and then most likely the game). And secondly, cause I’m pretty sure the pies have been the Victorian team that was ‘reportedly’sniffing around Atkins the last couple offseasons. Might be able to flip him in the draft period for more then he’s worth.

C'mon mate the 5:50 am starts are easy. It's the afternoon games at 2:30 am that are the killers.

Of course they are. I didn't say anything about the Saturday night games I just had a work schedule that made enjoying the end of the footy - should I wish to do so - a little difficult on those weekday morning early rises. I didn't mind the day games so much.

I mind them only because little AC sometimes has tee times at 8am on Saturday's.

With the Collingwood outs this week. I'll revise my prediction to a 50-point win.
They can't catch a break over there. Massive injury toll for several years. Something stinks in the state of Collingwood.

The trouble for Collingwood is that they have a midfield and not much else. Crisp had a good game Friday night, intercepting a lot of Carlton attacks, and Reid kicked 3. Other than those two, Collingwood relies completely on their midfield to do it all.

Josh Thomas kicked 5 goals, Sidebottom and Hoskin-Elliot 3 each. What sort of team gets dominated by Josh Thomas? A terrible one like Carlton.

Josh Thomas isn't just a fringe player, he's extremely clean and huge runner.

He's obviously shown a bit at Collingwood to be suspended for 2 years and get back on the list. However I don't think he's a world beater.
