in all serious though, the idea that someone who labels themselves as a checker of facts are a fully trustworthy source and not potentially compomised by money/influence etc.. is silly.
I rekon people should fact check their own info
Its a sure sign of the death of critical thinking when we look to an organisation to "fact check" for us instead of looking into it ourselves.Regardless of the side of the political isle people are on, those who gravitate toward 'fact checking' are usually only interested in using that platform to further their own cause.
Whilst it's not fact-checking exactly, just look at how people are editing Wikipedia these days to further whatever political agenda they are pushing, instead of simply presenting information and letting the reader decide.
