You’re right and I'm just being an old fogey, without actually being fogey age, but at the same time I do find it unfathomable that someone could be flown up for an interview, be wined and dined and made an attractive offer, but wouldn’t have the courtesy to personally say thanks but no thanks.

So when i heard Fagans comment suggesting Elliott's behaviour was exceptional, I was genuinely shocked.

Like promptly despatched for the use of "old fogey", which is more eloquent than "geezer", "codger", or "fart".
