For 40% of the game though? Would you want to lose your #1 key forward for that much of the game? Why? Just play Daniher as the second ruck.

Having convinced premiership coach Fagan to stay in charge of their club until the completion of the 2027 season, the Lions have begun preliminary consideration on how the future could look, and a transition from Fagan to Daly has already been informally discussed by those who hold the club's power.

That is as close to angry Fages as the public will see, the narrative that he is too soft on the players is a furphy, he'd be blunt with brutally honest feedback when needed behind closed doors.Better be a one week thing fellas !!
We don't really know what was said to players but after the Suns effort i am sure he did not hold back. That is as close to angry Fages as the public will see, the narrative that he is too soft on the players is a furphy, he'd be blunt with brutally honest feedback when needed behind closed doors.
I know there were a few criticisms of Murray Davis over the years but looking at how Adelaide have stepped it up a notch this year - was he underrated during his time with us? could he be part of the reason why Adelaide have gone to another level? Looks to be Nicks' right hand man now.
Of course he was. Anyone coming from a non-AFL pathway is always going to be underestimated.I know there were a few criticisms of Murray Davis over the years but looking at how Adelaide have stepped it up a notch this year - was he underrated during his time with us? could he be part of the reason why Adelaide have gone to another level? Bruce & Dew reportedly approached by Port and Dees for assistant coaching positions
No current season stats available
Not long ago (this thread will attest to that) we had crap assistant coaches that no one wanted. Now these same coaches are being torn apart from us because apperantly they are good.
Oh well we just have to find more crap coaches to fill these roles.
Refresh coming on. Not a bad thing.
Are you saying we need to recruit Matthew Primus or Tony Shaw? Not long ago (this thread will attest to that) we had crap assistant coaches that no one wanted. Now these same coaches are being torn apart from us because apperantly they are good.

Exactly. Fages will shape them into gun assistants and everyone will want them. Are you saying we need to recruit Matthew Primus or Tony Shaw?
So many money grabbers at this club!!!Can’t see us losing them all but not sure if a rejuvenation is good or not. Probably don’t want that much turnover given how successful we’ve been.
You’d think Daly would hang around if there’s a handshake agreement in place to take over from Fages in a few years. Similarly Dew has been settled in QLD for a long time now, but could see Bruce heading home perhaps.

They are when we don't want them to leave. So many money grabbers at this club!!!![]()
