Joe was a unicorn in that he was genuinely very good in the middle. Not really as a ruckman per se but winning contest and running to dangerous spots.

That is as close to angry Fages as the public will see, the narrative that he is too soft on the players is a furphy, he'd be blunt with brutally honest feedback when needed behind closed doors.

We don't really know what was said to players but after the Suns effort i am sure he did not hold back.

Fagan has mentioned before you need to save your big spray as it won't work if done regularly.

I know there were a few criticisms of Murray Davis over the years but looking at how Adelaide have stepped it up a notch this year - was he underrated during his time with us? could he be part of the reason why Adelaide have gone to another level? Looks to be Nicks' right hand man now.

Nah he was only at our club because he was dating Bree Brock

Of course he was. Anyone coming from a non-AFL pathway is always going to be underestimated.

If Dew leaves to Port, its going to be tough, but I'll be changing my team to Port. Because they will never tear us apart.

I don’t see why Dew or Bruce would move for assistant positions. Both are fairly new here still and are in a successful system in a team that will be contending for a very long time. Bruce may want to go back to Melbourne sure, but Dew has been settled in QLD for some time now - and would have had the option to move elsewhere when the suns sacked him, but he didn’t.

Similar for Daly, who apparently Carlton are talking to - why would he move? If the rumours are true that he’s our choice for next coach after Fagan (presumably) retires in the next year or two, he would be inheriting a team very well set up for the next decade similar to Chris Scott

Not long ago (this thread will attest to that) we had crap assistant coaches that no one wanted. Now these same coaches are being torn apart from us because apperantly they are good.
Oh well we just have to find more crap coaches to fill these roles.

Was thinking the same thing. Just over a year ago they were all duds anyway.
