I thought today was only the second game this year that we got a fair go from the umpires. Which surprised me considering Head and Goldspink were among them.

Yeah, first time in a few weeks that we didn't get crucified. Although the Crows gave away more frees because they laid more tackles, and still got the hometown holding the ball decisions.

Like the bizarro one against Jeff Farmer for holding the ball.

Goldspink is actually one of the better umpires going round now. Goes to show how much experience helps.

Still hate U. Head though. Poor old Fletcher.

Yeah, i'll never forgive Head for the Fletcher incident.

Goldspink is a shocker, I hope you're joking Slacker.

There was a few bizarre ones today, but with Goldspink and Head thats par for the course, but a few bizarre ones went our way today as well.

The Peake holding the ball was baffling as well as the Farmer one.

Dont think so. Goodwins in the last debunks your myth.

But on the game...Bad luck. Your guys were hesitant early which allowed us the break we were lucky to keep. Why didnt you kick with the wind on winning the toss?

Sandilands was unstoppable and Pav is a champion.

I thought the umpiring was pretty woeful- but then that doesn't shock me, it has been all year.

Didn't affect the outcome of the game and had you won it, it would've been entirely off your own boot. Those awful mistakes in the first half cost you guys the game and I think you should look at recruiting Josh Hunt from Geelong at the end of next year for kick-ins as that's the area where you guys stink really badly (no offence)

I just wish the umpiring would find some semblance of consistency if anything else. It's not that we got crucified that bothers me (as we didn't really) it's the fact that an incident that gets rewarded with a free kick in the first half gets completely overlooked in the second half and vice versa.

Well done today though guys, you showed a lot of heart in the second half and I'm sure you can take a lot more positives out of your last half than we can :(

Lately we've been starting strong and finishing quite poorly. We've also been in winning positions fairly often at 3 qtr time only to choke up (usually against the breeze).

Perhaps the idea was that if a) we had a decent start (which we did for the first 5 mins of the game) and b) we were in a winning position at 3 qtr time (which we werent, or so I thought) that it might be a nice change to have the advantage of the wind, which might have provided a psychological boost to counter the recent chokes.

There is allot of "why"s
Why wasnt McPharlin moved down back allot earlier when he was being wasted up forward.........
Why has it taken so long for Pavlich to be played deep in the forward line??

Was that the one where he was tackled for about 4 seconds immediately after taking possession? Thought that was pretty blatant. While he didn't have prior opportunity, he made absolutely no attempt to get rid of it, even when thrown on the ground. Textbook holding the ball, you have to make an attempt.
