Fairfax goint to town on Shortens gaffe ridden 24 hours from hell! In that they haven't even mentioned it.

Ha yes it's like no one is manning the online site today. No movement regarding Shorten at all. Usually they have a live blog too. Nothing. All hoping to ride out the storm and hope it passes without them having to mention it.

Becoming campaign defining though so far, so a little embarrassing for them.

What's your solution?

You're defining bias as articles which don't appeal to your conservative bias.

In the absence of a solution proposal, this thread has no evidence to support it's claim.

WA today had a puff piece on how Bill could break its 20 year WA lockout!

You've deadset REEEEEEKED of it this past 2 weeks.

Golden Showers already rejected the obvious solution put to her - vote Green, because they’re the only ones who stand for passing laws to force greater media diversity.

She already laughed that off as if there’s something icky about the idea of governments passing laws that improve the quality of life for the majority of voters.

She realises she’s in a hopeless position - as a right winger she’s obliged to support “deregulation” and “freedom of speech” but it’s upset her because Fairfax - although doing exactly what a “deregulated” private media company should do, namely say whatever the f*** it likes - is saying something she doesn’t want to hear.

So her plucky one-woman campaign to show that a private media company is saying whatever the f*** it likes (thanks, we get it) continues day in, day out on this thread.

You're lucky to get an acknowledgment from the Addy that other teams exist outside the Crows and Port.

Dusty and Buddy could announce their engagement and it would barely get a look in.
Buddy is being traded to the Pies....mid season draft....
It was online ...true...saw it...
Tony Shaw may have mentioned it.

That is how much I believe the s**t news papers print.

If newspapers had respectable journos they might have a smidgin of veracity.

They don't.

Rupert raped the fourth estate.
He should burn for it.

Getting pretty desperate when you have to resort to bare-faced lies such as this.

The mood getting more dire by the day back at Lib HQ is it comrades?

Every day I see a new anti-Shorten hit piece by Fairfax. Costello has fully molded it into his IPA-supporting image.

Oh c'mon there was barely a prominent piece at all on Shorten being caught making up super tax policies. And then barely any mention of his correction today. Even though it has dominated the rest of the media cycle over the last 2 days.

Seriously - you guys know that is rotten.

You're ******* terrible at this.

'Like paying someone else to go on a diet': Labor's carbon permit policy attacked from both sides
The Greens say Labor's policy on international carbon permits "passes the buck" and will delay Australia's push to renewables.

You are either kidding, or a one-eyed nut job who is convinced Fairfax can never do anything right in your eyes. The first place I saw this storm in a teacup being reported was in The Age.

Yah so in other words "Labor's policy is not left-wing enough, listen to what the Greens have to say"!

I will post the rest of the article, and highlight the other sources used who arent the Greens. You are seriously bad at this. This is the worst thread of the year, and there is already one about drag queens reading story books to kids.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the fact that Labor would not produce more information about its policies was a cause to reject Mr Shorten at the election on May 18.
"These are the costs he won't tell you about. These are the impacts he won't tell you about," Mr Morrison said.

"And if he won't tell you what they are, I would encourage you not to vote for them."

A Labor spokesman noted that Dr Fisher's work forecast a hit to growth and employment from the Coalition's 26 per cent target, without permits, as well as from the Labor 45 per cent target when it was achieved with permits.

The government's claims have been countered by an analysis by Australian National University professor Warwick McKibbin that shows the economy would grow 23 per cent under the 45 target.

The McKibbin report forecasts growth of 2.09 per cent per year on average from 2020 to 2030, which adds 23 per cent to the economy in total over the period.

The Minerals Council of Australia has been highly critical of Labor's target, given it will not use "carry-over credits" from the Kyoto agreement, but the Business Council of Australia has backed the attempt to put a price on carbon and supports the use of international permits to minimise the cost to companies.

Who was the dickhead a few weeks ago crying that we were a bunch of ALP staffers ??

Think we've found who the REAL shill is.....

Look I see you're going to go around circles so I'm going to be as clear as I can.

The journalists that work for Fairfax are on the whole OK and produce good articles.

The editorial stance however is extremely poor. All headlines, story placement, % of opinion pieces for and against are all heavily slanted towards the left. It is a media company heavily weighted towards online readership where most content is shared on social media, which slants heavily left, and thus produces alot of left-wing clickbait.

That you have picked up one article that shock horror quotes what the Liberal PM!! has said in regards to a carbon tax is neither here nor there, as is a one line quote from the Business Council of Australia! I haven't said Fairfax is a Labor MPs newsletter.
