My point is the Fakers usually build their teams by doing BS trades and for once it's well and truly bit them on the ass, well deserved, maybe now they'll think about drafting a young athletic team rather than trade for a bunch of has beens who have never won like Malone, Payton, Nash etc.

Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Riewoldt, Rance etc.

Every team gets some players from other clubs but imo the core should always be originally drafted by the team.

over 20 years? based on your posts you're pretty new to the association.

ive been following the nba for over 30 years. been to countless games too.

how do you suggest a team who has no draft picks, pick players from the draft?

i agree. we traded a lot of young players and draft picks for malone, payton and nash. can you remember who they were?

BS trades? Marc Gasol is one of the best centers in the league these days. Shaq arrived via free agency and they got Kobe through the draft.

Pau had maybe one year just as good as him (2009-2010), Dirk has had a very good career but those who put him up there as a top 20 player or in front of guys like Malone, KG and Barkley are flat out mad.

Nobody said Dirk was up there with Malone, Barkley and KG. Were saying that Pau is nowhere near Dirk. Like not even close, even if you think one year he had a good year almost as good as Dirk. Dirk did it every year.

Dirk is a zillion times better than Pau. That's all were talking about it.

Rice, Richmond and Rider? wtf? all those blokes did was go to LA when they were in decline.

Rick Fox? you may as well mention players like Brian Cook. They drafted ok in the early 90s with Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel but have been pretty much the worst in the NBA since.

It was a 4 team traded where the Fakers gave the 3 other teams a bag of dirty socks and they got 3 players in decline in return. Rice and JR Reid were traded from Charlotte for Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell, Mitch Richmond signed as a free agent, Rider signed as a free agent i think.

Since 1994, Bynum is the only good draft pick from the Fakers, just proves they only get players because of they are the Lakers, put the organisation anywhere else and they'd be struggling..........oh wait, they already are.
