I am staggered that our inactive guys like Chesser, Cole, Allen and co have been out a full year. Have any of you who go to training sessions seen these guys out there training? Are/were they out there going through the drills, kicking etc, etc?

Or just told to sit at home with a mask on and not get covid

Working with physios, in the gym, on the bike or in the pool. Players hate rehab, you're isolated from the main group and your training load goes up.

What a smug arrogant campaigner he is.. and sadly it seems he is going to need to be carried out in a box before he gives up his job.

On what planet did he think we could make the 8 based on how 2020 and 2021 ended?

Culture is the most important thing at a football club?? Your the West Coast Eagles football club not a Culture Club( apologies to Boy George) … No one is advocating going backwards to the mid 2000s but seriously… at least he didn’t say Community like the chairman….

What a Vanilla club we have turned into… and how didn’t he have a right to reply to Ben Harveys piece? The only person who believes what he says is him..

Yeah that's concerning watching that, the bloke has no willingness to change anything. This club will continue to go backwards with him at the helm. That comment about making the 8 if we had a full squad particularly irked me did he not remember last season when there were clearly big holes in our club? FTG.

Totally crap interview. Mostly open ended questions from the reporter that Nisbett could answer any way he liked with as much or as little detail and substance as he liked. At the end of that interview none of us are any the wiser about what the plan is for the immediate future except he seems to be indicating there will be very little change and he and the rest of the hierarchy think we who buy the memberships are all a bunch of muppets who don't know anything but whose opinions they have to pretend to tolerate without reacting because they want our money.

He is also off with the fairies trying to argue that our formline was trending up and looking good going into this season and it was only injuries that derailed us. We missed the finals last year and copped a few horrific beltings that were harbingers of things to come. And we squeaked into the 8 in 2020 and got bundled out in the first week of finals losing to the 8th placed side on our home ground. So the formline was already clearly pointing downwards. And we have the second oldest list in the comp over that timeframe so biologically and logically this is exactly what you would be expecting, i.e. diminishing returns. Yet he argues we would have made the 8 in 2022 if we had had a better run with injuries.

The reporter should have put him on the spot to a much greater degree. Pointed out the age of the list and the formline and then asked him again if he is really still arguing that everything is fine and nothing needs rebuilding. Asked him in more detail about how much change to expect on field and off field for next season. And asked him to put his balls on the table and nominate what he thinks the KPI's we members should hold him and Simpson and the rest of them to for next season should be. Lets see how much he really believes his own rhetoric. Will he say "Judge me and Adam on whether we make the 8"? I doubt it. Ask him if he thinks we are a top 8 side then should we consider any failure to make the 8 next season to be a woeful underperformance given how great our list is and should we be asking him and Simpson to resign if that happens?

And on that note I also felt that his attempt to bring up the culture and drugs issue from 20 years ago is a sign that he doesn't really believe what he is saying about the list. I saw it as a meek attempt to change the subject and shift the goalposts he wants to be judged on away from wins and losses and what is hapenning on field to something else.

Looks carefully thats the clubs business plan in summary. nothing new here
The whole question that led up to that lecture about culture felt like a set up. Like the reporter had organised with Nisbet to ask him that question so he could change the subject to that and give us the lecture. I think the question was "What is the most important thing at a footy club?". Very weird and open ended question.

What Nisbet was trying to do is obvious. If you can't sell something or make it look acceptable on it's face to the punters then compare it to something worse to make it seem like it is not that bad. So he is bringing up a time that he believes we will all agree is worse than now to compare this season to. Because the human brain is always judging and comparing one thing to another. A 7 out of 10 chick looks hot if you put her in a room with a bunch of 50 year old Greens party voting Karen's lecturing you for not wearing your face mask properly, but not so hot if you compare her to the hottest girls in a Pattaya GoGo bar. So he is trying to get us to compare 2022 with 2007 in our minds. I don't think his tactic will work on many punters.

The thing i am still trying to figure out is do they really believe what they are saying? Do they really think we have a top 8 list? Or is this just the marketing strategy they have decided on to get members to renew their memberships? Maybe they think our members have had it too good for too long and are too used to success and won't renew if they think we won's make the 8 and so it is imperative to try and sell them hope that we will, even if they themselves don't believe it.

Diminishing returns is one of the keys here and people seem to have been happy to accept it.. yes diminishing returns on the field is one thing thats to be expected and embraced( however the club seems to be in denial of this) but off field also thing have diminished…

Remember a few shorts years ago when you paid your member you got a card, a hat or scarf, a pin, a car sticker that typically lost all colour by round ten and started flaking by round 15 , a crappy pen that fell apart when you clicked the end, the yearbook, a lanyard that you never used and $10 team store voucher that only covered postage if you live interstate…

Compare to now, you get an email saying your a member, the right to request a pin, sticker and lanyard if you could be stuffed and a $25 voucher to the team store.

Diminishing return indeed…

I can compare to the lions as my wife is a member and she still can get a hat or scarf yearly, the lanyard, sticker, pin, good quality member shirt at a small cost $40-$50 and 10% at the store as she is a member…. Oh and membership to their social club for free in Springwood for discounted meal, drinks etc ( ok yes pokies bad blah blah but if you don’t use them whatever I’ve been here ten years and used poker machines once but thats another issue)

So which club is supposedly the richest in the league and what club seems to value its members and give you a reason to renew other than if I don’t I will loose my seat and never get it back again??

Bizarre interview with a deluded man at the helm. Disappointed in Rhino for taking part in what almost seems like it’s been scripted to appease fans.

He was tired of writing emails I guess?

If i ever needed more evidence that Nesbitt needs to be moved on asap, this is it

Who does he think he is? "I have been here for 22 years and the club has had the worse season we have ever had but i will leave when i feel like it!?"

What KPI's does he have to meet? This man has no accountability to anyone but himself

This organization is way too comfortable and way too stale atm and its gotten complacent from the board down. Move him on

Man being interviewed on most watched news bulletin in the state, who is regularly interviewed in the biggest newspaper in the state, who floods our inboxes with crap emails and works for a company with a marketing/PR department complains about not being able to have the right of reply to Ben Harvey's video. Give me a break

Leave poor Trev alone, between you and Phil he's going to start thinking we don't like him and want him to leave.

Its simple. They may be spinning or deluded. But all that is eeded is to select the clubs aim - make it onfiefld success - tie it to finals or ladder spot to be measurable. Then every action and decision is tested agains that as the highest priority. No excuses, no red herrings and the community sorts itself out, as if a domestic footy club will change the world.

Another year, the third year in a row that the club's finished the season without having a single Rising Star nomination, our last was Oscar Allen at the end of the 2019 season. Like we needed any further confirmation where our players under 21 are at...I would say the next few years are gonna be painful but I don't know how you could get far worse than two wins and a percentage of 55.

Trev going after Kane Cornes tonight should at least mean that Kane keeps up the pressure on Trev. I don't like Kane, but the enemy of my enemy and whatnot.

Excellent. Members survey time…

25 words or less what would you implement if you were eagles ceo for a day….. obviously didn’t want to much feedback
