Fallout: 2022

According to Hagdorn (I know) looks like our poor wasn’t due to support staff. All going around again.

Link Eagles support staff reportedly receive “massive reprieve” despite disaster season — SEN

Oh goody!

Rinse and repeat.

Was the opening sentence even in English?

“West Coast is set to stick with the same support staff personnel for the 2023 season the disappointing year just gone the club has faced.”

That said, it does appear like the S&C are going to get the same mulligan for 2022 that many others are. Not certain that’s the right path but if they’ve identified the issues and have plans to rectify the mistakes paid I hope those making decisions are pulling the right reigns

Interesting, Hagdorn’s comments about Simpson’s lack of confidence the players will not return ready for day one of pre-season.

If correct (Hagdorn disclaimers apply) smacks of an unprofessional mob and one flag is enough syndrome is embedded in the team.

Credits in the bank is alive and well.

Overpaid and on long contracts can do that too.

Maybe Simpson is a large part of the problem - as others have said in the ‘other’ thread.

So its not the coaches fault, the players fault, the fitness staffs fault, the board’s fault or Nesbitts fault…. Must be the fans fault..

Anyone who ever disputed credits in the bank has to be left looking stupid now..

An alternative source tells me Hagdorn is not quite correct.

Receptionist has received marching orders.

I never read the press, so at best its half true. In reality we need one specialst S&C leader - the soldiers just do their job as directed so its not a big deal (yet)

Smacks of Simmo eyeing off a leadership role in State Govt.

Jobs for the boiz!

The club has won just 2 from its last 26 matches.

Yet it still has the same board, staff and coach, with a playing list that will be another year older in 2023.

A list that already now has 8 players over the age of 30.

Absolute madness.

The rot will continue.

Wooden spoon certainties.

The very first part of addressing a problem, is admitting their is a problem
The second part of addressing a problem is being truthful about outcomes of this problem

Nic Nat presents this year in the worst shape he has ever been, and yet the club crows about him having a full pre season. Most of the squad look out of shape and cannot run out games all year. And I am yet to see the club at any point saying that their fitness standards simply wasn't good enough. Our club spends the year with half our team perennialy injured, and yet our entire fitness and medical teams are set to be retaining

Everyone is way too comfortable and nobody at the club is having the cold, hard conversations that need to be had

Do we actually have any staff KPI's? If we do what are they and how were they possibly met this year?

Extremely frustrating

How do you know that? Maybe they have been told to shape up or ship out. You dont necessarily need mass lay offs to get a result. You need to identify what went wrong and how you are going to fix it. Whether thats through changes to the program or whatever. Doesn't mean you have to fire people if they recognise where to improve.

We have just had the worst season we ever had in the history of the club. Constant injuries have plagued this club for years. Our poor condition had been on display for years. Any yet despite this, we retain all the same people after the season we have just had?

I am sorry, that's just insanity

Sadly the people in charge of the club have their heads up their asses so much they can't even smell what they are shoveling. I hope for their sake we aren't 0-7 to start the season, we don't want a Essendon mess at our club but it's heading that way.
