How do you know when you have gotten their companion perks?

I have done the missions for a couple of them, but still dont think i have their perk

It'll pop up saying "x idolizes you", then they'll bale you up a next time you go near them and give you a long, heart-felt story about how you're their best friend. When they finish it'll tell you you've got their perk and what it is which you have to 'ok'. You'll know for sure when it happens.

mission should of been going to the vault to get her addictions fixed. She likes it when you fast travel as her companion without wearing base clothes - like jumpsuit or leathers

Um you're gonna have to be a fair way through the story to have done his final mission. Have you been to the Institute yet?

Yeah i did the cait onw, would prick of a mission. I am only just up to the institute, so maybe i havent done the Danse oneyet

Danse; It's a pretty big twist in the story, you'll know if/when it happens. You'll still need to do stuff for BoS to make it happen.


I only found out about the perks after being level 50 and doing a shit load of missions, so I was a bit scummy with 'farming' them as such. I would play normal and when I did something they liked I'd quick save and reload to reset the wait time for their next like; so I'd fast travel with Cait naked and she'd like it, quicksave and load then continue, pick a lock and she'd like it, quicksave and load.

HOW TO DO IT WITH 6 Settlers and 9000 caps

Go to a small settlement like Red Rocket Station. Build 6 or 7 beds indoors. Plant 6 mutfruit. Build defense up to about 60. Build 5 tier3 (surgery station) clinics. Build enough wooden crates until your size goes yellow, meaning becomes large. You find wooden crates under furniture/containers. Build 2 or 3 water pumps. I did it with 3 but should work with 2. Go to another settlement and send 6 people to your chosen settlement, or use recruitment radio beacon (make sure to disable beacon after 6 people have arrived). Assign 1 person for food. Assign rest 5 people to clinics. 1 for each clinic. Wait for happiness to go up. After happiness goes up, sleep for 24 hours (thats why I made 7 beds, 1 for me). Repeat previous sentence.
P.S. Never leave the settlement while doing this. It could bug out and happiness could drop.
EDIT: People have been saying that you don’t need to build crates to increase the size. You can still get the trophy without it. Also some have said that adding pictures increases happiness speed.

so just got Presons Perk United we Stand.

Now working on Macreadys. Just killed the vendor at drumline diner and doing the old steal, quicksave, load, steal process.

I kinda wish I got Macready's perk last now. It's kinda ruined the game a bit for me since & now I have it I just don't have that kind of willpower to avoid the temptation of using it on every enemy lol

I find myself only using it with pistols and whilst sneaking. In saying that I'll spot a ghoul 200 metres away and turn his head to mush. I changed the difficulty up to very hard now which renders it fairly ineffective against anything except raiders and ghouls.

I dunno about ineffective, i can destroy a BoS soldier in power armour with 2 gauss rifle headshots

It is a crazy OP perk. Don't care, I'm level 70 now so pretty much can destroy anything on survival difficulty no matter where i hit em

Nice yeah that's the guide I used on nordhagen beach, did it pretty easy in about an hour.

I just need faction & the last few mission ones for platinum.

I cracked level 70 last night at about 130 hours. Have 5 Astoundingly Awesome Tales, 1 Tesla Science and 6 bobble-heads left. Once that's done I'll do all 4 endings.

You still have to do more stuff she likes. Just fast-travel between 2 settlements without base clothing on with her as your companion, she'll like it, quicksave, load, repeat. If you've done her mission she's real close.

Yeah i cruised around naked with her after this mission and she gave me her perk

The companion missions rarely give you instant access to the companions perk, for any of em. You generally need to keep them around a bit longer to make them idolize you.
