I really need to work out my perks - I've wasted one by mistake but can't be arsed redoing my character - have invested heavily in Perception, Luck and Intelligence in SPECIAL - decided to go for a lucky smart sniper who likes building and crafting stuff.

Really looking forward to getting more into the game.

My plan has gone out the window but I'm not fussed about wasted perks. After getting the ones I wanted most early I can't do much else other than go for a few filler perks until I level up more. So wouldn't get too worried about wasting any or picking the wrong thing. There are also heaps of levels to correct your build

Also, are there any advantages over having junk fences over metal or wood? Or is it purely aesthetic?

I think junk would be better because it uses both wood and steel.

The only ones you can scrap like that (the whole house) seem to be the destroyed ones.

Imo its silly to scrap the existing, semi good homes. Just clean em out and chuck beds into them. Saves resources
