True. I know the game apparently gets better. I went to the village, met the people, got the big suit, went back to the safe house, ditched the suit, met some guy wanting me to turn off some pipes underwater, water is radioactive, die, turned off ps4.

That's where I'm at. My put in some hours into over the summer holidays, seems like a game you can't play for 20 mins at a time.

Good point on the guy with the underwater pipes. How the hell do you do that?

Pop a couple of rad x. Wear a radiation buffer item like the vault 111 suit or the gas mask. You take bugger all rads.

I had about 10% rads on the hp meter after i was done. Easy

One radaway fixed it

I didn't have any issues with it, just look for the bubbles before getting in so you know where the valves are then you can walk down to the one closest to the guy that wants you to do it, turn that valve then swim across to the others turn them and get out. I'd suggest healing straight after as well

Thing with fallout, if you find a task you can't do, just abandon it, stroll the wastes and find about 500 other quests.

Thats fallout. You don't, probably can't, do every quest in a single playthrough

I seriously need some better armour. Getting smashed when I'm not hiding. Not dying heaps but running away a lot.

Only have 1 strength, but the armour I have isn't worth modding really.

Yeah fair enough. Just don't have much adhesive, and it's hard to come by. I know there's ways to hoard but not keen on looking them up.

I still have the bloody vault 111 jumpsuit, just with a chest piece and arms/legs.

Go to a cooking station and tag everything in the recipe for vegetable starch. Its just various fruits/veg. Find some of each, grow at settlement. Pick and cook. Infinite adhesive.

Also just tag adhesive in the crafting menu. There is shitloads of it around really. Duct tape and wonderglue everywhere

Oh so what, I should sit down for 5 hours straight then? I have a life. Fact is, I played it for a bit and I'm finding it boring, no doubt I'll spend some more time with it when I can, and hopefully I'll enjoy it.

How do you get people to Sanctuary?
I got 15 beds 30 defence 10+ food, power, assigned people tasks etc.
Not saying its necessarily a high amount but I would have expected a few more people.
I have been stuck on 6 for ages.

Oh and yes, I have the recruitment beacon or whatever it is.
I think I saw it go to 7 for a second then back to 6.
Got attacked by raiders once which made me improve the defence further.

A legendary ghoul dropped a pistol for me that does +15 explosive damage today. Easily my weapon of choice now.

Got one that does +25 bleed damage recently. Favourite fun now.

The sniper rifle double damage at full health .

And I cant wait to upgrade this little gem I found last night.
