How the f did u do that??
I did the finches farm mission at the steel works. It was full of forged with flamers and molotovs

Not sure what happened, but after leaving there i was all lava. Took off my armour and the covered skin was normal, but my head was permanently flaming.

I mucked around throwing bodies in the molten steel, as you do. Not sure if it happened then. I didn't notice until like an hour later when i got back to Sanctuary and i wasn't going to reload

Seems like this is my life now haha. Will try a reboot tonight

Got the platinum. Way too easy a game.

Was 1-2 shotting mirelurk queens on survival by 80 hours :(

Good open world action game. And I loved playing it. Had fun with it for what it was. But unfortunately a terrible RPG and not a great "fallout".

Made me wanna replay New Vegas.

A while back I read on reddit that there is an extra armour update available once you complete the Railroad quests that allows you to update clothing with ballistic fibre to a max of 100 protection (I think that is with Armourer perk rank 4). I'm working through the Railroad quests at the moment.
Damn, may need to start loading up on armourer............too many cool ass perks!!

Sneak, Rifleman, explosives, Lone Wanderer.

10perception, 10agility.

Problem was once I got an explosive shotgun. Even on survival, nothing will get close enough to kill you. Had to stop using it.

250 damage plus every little pallet did explosive damage. Which was modified by my explosives perk. Overkill.

Behemoths literally one shot to the legs.. Drop.. 2 shots to the head= dead.

I'm loving the open world and all the little bits and pieces you discover along the way but so far feel the story and RPG elements are lacking compared to New Vegas. Still having a shitload of fun with it though.

Power armour is literally everywhere. Look for military checkpoints/buildings. They almost all have at least 1 suit.

I have about 7 of them. Could have more but whats the point i guess. Need to build a garage for them as they are taking up my porch at sanctuary. Might move em to the castle

Is there any point bothering with other power armour once you have the x-01 or whatever it is?

Agreed, if you're savvy with your perk trees you can build an unbeatable character by level 35-50. I went with gunslinger, ninja & sneak - am one shot killing mutant overlords with silenced pistols. Is fun as shit, but I have no fear or regard for any enemies anymore. Am hoping DLC's and add-ons will add some great enemies and possible multiplayer options.

Yeah exactly how I felt.

Bethesda are the masters of creating fun, amazing worlds to explore. Their writing, however, leaves much to be desired.

Bethesda: World Creation.
Obsidian: Story, Characters.

= the perfect game. For me anyway!

I've played about 40 hours now, lvl 23 and still only done the 1 main quest, have not set foot in diamond city yet. I just keep roaming and getting caught up in exploring everything and looting everything, just so good.

Agree with everything except multiplayer haha!

Mods will add in more enemies jut depends when we get them. Need a new difficulty mod. Would be nice.

As for the multiplayer. No thanks. But each to their own, I understand the want for it!

Im not a big multiplayer gamer, but i feel an online base attack mode would be sick. Pit you & your 'home base/settlement' against 4-8 human characters and see who comes out on top. Feel it would tie in all the hours spent building a settlement, and your character to something bigger than what was a poor storyline ending. Guess we'll see what the developers come up with. Im on xbox1, so mods etc have no bearing. Im assuming mods can only be loaded onto PC?

I saw it on FB not long ago, but a walking dead mod for Fallout 4 was mentioned, with the settlements and having to look after them it could work. You'd have to get rid of radiation and all the mutated enemies and just add in walkers (zombies).

Not sure about it as it

Better pic of my human torch character

Tbh i barely use it, but just on stats alone there isn't much point using other armours, except maybe for aesthetics.

Once you upgrade the X01 the stats are crazy

Consoles will be getting mods early next year! So you're in luck. They will be limited compared to PC but things like new weapons, new enemies etc will all be on consoles! :)

So an awesome way to make quick caps is to apparently dump in a couple of industrial purifiers and sell the water that accumulates in the workbench. Some people making 1200 a day

Might do that at somewhere next to a river. Like sanctuary or the boathouse

A game day or a real life day?

Almost got my Charisma to 6 and then will be taking local leader perk and properly getting a few settlements up to speed and will be adding plenty of water purifiers.

Does anyone know how much difference building the resource that allows settlers to scavenge stuff makes? Am thinking I'll put one of those in at each settlement along with the linking of resources.

No idea on the second bit. I built them at a few settlements, assigned a settler and have no idea what it is doing. I'm swimming in junk already at my workbenches.

In have a couple at each settlement. Hard to say how much they add as i have so much crap in them already. Plenty of people have tested it though, and if you add supply lines they can accumulate quite the inventory of junk

Don't understand the dislike for Power Armour. For me the biggest inconvenience is carrying items, and PA gives me around 200 more capacity which is great. Loot almost eveything and sell to vendors. The dmg/energy resist are also superior, and i love scaling a 10 storey building and after clearing it of mobs, just jump off to the ground rather than tediously walking down again. Plus some of the mods are great, and atm my favourite mod highlights enemies for me which is priceless when questing at night. Was at the top of Commonwealth Bank last night in the dark and could just make out these 5 red enemies on the ground miles away. Picked off 1 with sniper shots, and the rest ran upstairs to a nearby rooftop started shooting at me. I threw an artillery smoke grenade on said rooftop and basked in the glorious fireworks :) Go down to loot and a legendary raider was amongst the group and that's where I picked up my 2 shot guass rifle.

I don't care too much for sneaking all the time and hiding behind stuff. I'll get off one sniper rifle shot or two, and when a bunch of mobs come running towards me I've got the big loud guns to blow them to bits. Come at me!!

So yeah, ill go against the grain and say Power Armour is awesome.

With supply lines, say i set up one between sanctuary and Abernathy farm, if I create a supply line from Abernathy to the Slog, does that mean stuff from sanctuary goes to the slog? Or would I have to set up a supply line from the Slog to Sanctuary?
