Is the auto stealth boy upgrade worth it? At the moment I'm using the core assembly mod for my power armour.

Up to level 55 and its quite hard deciding where to spend my perk points. I can hit for 800 with my 2 shot guass rifle so dont feel like i need to invest in perk abilities relating to dmg/crit chance/crit dmg/VATS etc. Has anyone started to pacify animals, robots and humans? I want some gun perks now
Only worth it if you have invested in sneak/mister sandman/ninja (all agility) perk trees. I am full in all, and my sneak attack damage is x7. So i can crouch, walk up to a deatchlaw and one shot kill it. If you havent loaded up these perks, then wouldnt suggest going for it.

Hahaha, was just going through my inv as I was carrying a bunch of weight, had forgotten to offload a bunch of meds after I shamelessly craft levelled about three times last night.

Was carrying around about 20kg of narcotics on my person!

11kgs of jet alone.

Uppers, downers, laughers and screamers...

Haha, for that reason i clean out my "Aid" list every so often completely into my workshop (except stimpaks that weight nothing). Its amazing how quickly it racks up.

All the meat and drugs in the workbench are recognized when you go to cook stuff at the same settlement.

I then just selectively re add what i think i'll need for the next few missions. Generally gains me about 20 weight or so each time

F-U Swan!

Laid 7 frag mines in a path and lured him out only to be killed by his rock throwing!
I freaking hate land mines.

Funny land mine stories....

When i retook the castle i quickly laid a bunch of them down to kill the
mirelurk queen
. Anyway...20 hours of gameplay later i decide to build a beacon and start attracting settlers. All is good for a while until all 15 settlers start randomly raining bullets into me.

I'm like wtf did i do to offend you people.

Anyway reload from last save...within 5 min, i'm crafting some stuff, and same thing happens. I repeat this 3 more times complaining about bugs until i finally witness the cause. A settler was walking around randomly and BOOM...the settlers were treading on land mines i placed about a week ago and had forgot about. I had invited settlers to my own personal Cambodia!

Quickly reloaded the save and spent a fair while carefully cleaning up about 10 land mines, hoping no one would step on one as i was doing it.

Also i was in a sentry bot fight once and was laying land mines for it to hit as it trundled towards me. Trolling bastard just kept shooting them in mid air!

TLDR landmines suck and i don't use them ever

Anyone else had experience with a melee only character? Started one last night as my second character and intend to go survival after level 10 (v.hard before that to get into the swing of things). Bloatflies and those mosquitoes are a pain in the arse already.

Though ammo= easy caps and bigger carrying weight will be great.

Finished the main story. Level 41 in the end.

End game spoiler:
Sided with the Institute. Not being cause I necessarily thought they were the best faction but because I figured that my character had gone through so much to find his son that he wasn't going to blow up everything he'd worked for. Felt bad about destroying the Railroad. Less bad about killing the BOS.

Haven't personally although read a few articles on it. Apparently starts out a bit tricky, but you quickly become OP.

Blitz is a non negotiable perk. Lets you do ranged melee attacks in vats

Pretty much like most characters I think. Only died three times in the last 20 levels (currently 45) on my current character and two of them were when a mini nuke landed on my head. Think survival will be good so that I don't have the backup of stimpak spam when things get gnarly.

So..
The deliverer is pretty awesome. Easy to dismiss it as just another weak as 10mm. But spec it right up and its 51 damage.

Still doesn't sound great, which is why i never used it. But the kicker is it has improved vats accuracy and 25% less action point cost. So if you sneak, you can rack up at least 12 shots in vats. Add some sneak attack multipliers and its ridiculous.

I just took out a legendary deathclaw by sneaking up and taking out both legs with this thing

Is there a way to move a special power (star rated) from one weapon to another or the same with a piece armor to another?

Some legendary powers are attached as a mod, and can be removed and added to certain other, similar weapons/armour. Its generally pretty rare though. Go into a crafting bench, and if the legendary power is attached as a mod, remove it, then you need to work out what you can add it to. Its a bit of a crazy system. Many times the legendary modifier is "built in" and can't be removed

TBH its generally not worth bothering with imo.

If you find something like say, a legendary energy pistol with burn damage, all you can usually add it to is another energy pistol. Much better to just take your energy pistol you already have modded to the max, and remove all the good stuff from that, and add to the legendary weapon. Then you have a fully modded energy pistol with legendary abilities.

Again its clunky to do that, as you need to craft the standard mod for your maxxed out weapon, which will remove the high power mod and store it in your inventory. Then get the legendary weapon, and it will have the option to add the high power mod to it without the need to craft anything.

Hope that makes sense

Legendary - that's the term I was looking for.

Yeah it does - I did the same with the Rockyville Slugger and just modded it up to the circular saw version but kept the AP advantage.

I've got a couple of things like the gun that adds 50% damage to robots but it's a heap of shit hunting rifle and I'd like to move it to a better weapon. I've also got the chameleon arm from a legendary raider which has been ****en great, but as I'm moving along the armor isn't quite up to scratch.

Cheers

Some of the damage stacking in this game's kinda insane

Got an instigator's hunting rifle, double damage when they are on full health. Turned it into a sniper rifle, which is perfect for me. Ninja, mister sandman, bloody mess, rifle man. One shotting most things on very hard, might switch to survival

Need to up my luck for better criticals, dammit, should've put more in luck at the start
