I re-watched season 1 last week and if anything, I enjoyed it more.

Will be watching tomorrow night.

I heard that it's one episode a week. Is that right?
Yep.

Has Fallout broken the curse of bad season 2 video game adaptions?

i.e. TLOU, The Witcher

But then Kumail shows up at the end..

oh come on GIF by funk

As a casual fan of the games, I've been enjoying season 2. Watched e3 last night and also some deep dive videos on YouTube.

Love the more than one occasion where the pronunciation of Caesar/Kaiser is questioned and ridiculed. There is still a lot to flesh out with Robert House and whether or not the two actors playing 'House' mean there is a body double or House's brother.

S2E5 was pretty terrific. This episode drip feeds juicy information all the way through. I love how a world steeped in lore still has storylines to cover with some of the most already-storied characters - like Robert House.

It's taken a lot of established groups (like the Legion) and locations (like Vegas) and tweaked the canon - without breaking it so far.

I always appreciate when they're able to skip between timelines in a way that makes sense and contributes to the story.

I haven't played the games FWIW... but gave this a look on the weekend and have subsequently binged season 1 and up to date for this season in the 5 days since.
I am really really enjoying this, it probably helps that I haven't played the game as i am learning about the characters as it goes as well, and there is that mystery and surprise for me. This weeks episode was an absolute cracker though
I assume we will find out how Coop became a ghoul? and also.. how do you kill one? is it blowing their head off the only way? Which leads to the obvious question about Coop now and his fate, but i assume he is ok

Love to hear this, another balance is producing an entertaining product for someone watching without background knowledge, while still putting enough in to keep the fans happy too.

You're right about the ghouls, a few feral ones have been killed on screen in s1 and s2, mainly by destroying the head. There'll be a scene where Cooper is exposed to radiation and mutates instead of dying, I'm looking forward to how they show that.

Robert House tells Cooper the house always wins - but maybe he's not the house. I don't understand Cooper's reaction to that knowledge - getting wasted. Is Cooper somehow the one who sets off the bombs but he has blanked it from his memories?

I’ve just binged S2-1-2-3 today and it’s been as entertaining as Season 1 from a non gamer perspective. I’ve had to watch some YouTube Recaps along the way to flesh out the background and make some sense of things such as BOTTLE CAPS!

Loving the characters and setting but does anyone else feel like the main plot is moving really slow? A lot of jumping between/introducing more storylines and giving the viewer plenty of questions but no real answers. Five episodes in and The Ghoul and Lucy are further from their goal than they were the end of last season and we still have no idea what Hank is really up to. Not to mention other questions from last season are still unanswered like what happened to Cooper's wife and daughter and how did he become the way he is.

With so many loose ends already it kinda feels like they're already milking the popularity of it and will just pump out as many seasons as they can while it makes money.

I think this can be valid - as a non-gamer I like how its setting it up

Yes it does feel as if there will be many more seasons of it - but if the quality remains then I am happy to go along for the ride

Sometimes tv doesnt have to be linear

Yeah apart from it feeling slower the quality is still there like most of the storylines are interesting. Maybe the one episode a week format makes it feel slower than last season dropping all at once
