It's going to be the new normal unfortunately. 15-20 years between games for all these big open world IPs.
The bubbles gonna burst. Or it at least shrink in size. I saw NVIDIA is reprinting 3060 GPUS. Mind you that’s the GPU I have in my PC and I got it 2-3 years ago. Most if not all games can run well on it. Is the graphics races really that necessary anymore.

I was actually gonna say we really need to pause on the graphics race for a while. The returns are diminishing and not worth it for the production and consumer cost. I'm still rocking a 3080.

My mate has a 3090 and was thinking of upgrading and I was like “why?”. It runs everything at 4K 60 or close to it.

I’ve been on my Switch 2 a lot recently replaying Zelda amongst other titles. I saw gameplay for the upcoming Resident Evil on it and some other titles…it’s like a PS5 lite! I was happy with PS4 graphics when that was the main thing out and now I get better than that on this device and my PC.

Always........ I just suspect the race will keep moving away from raw power (at least for now) and more towards "AI" trickery. As things like DLSS and FSR keeps improving the real need for high end cards diminishes for most, which could make low end cards more useful down the track, and probably ultimately shift a bunch of gaming to the cloud.

As for the show, I think I have to binge watch the whole thing from the beginning again once the season is done. I'm not concerned about most of the whinges people seem to have about the show, it's a show based in the Fallout world, not a remake of the games.
